Here at Planetauto, we're always up for a road trip, so it will come as no surprise that we have been gallivanting (again) today.

We were invited to the Preview Day for the Yorkshire Motorsport Festival, so we packed up our press car and travelled over The Pennines to Bowcliffe Hall, near Wetherby. As the weather is rather nice at the moment, the journey was even better with sunshine and blossoms to welcome us.

Now, the actual three day event is set to take place during the last full weekend of June (24th, 25th and 26th) in fields just outside the Holmfirth and Meltham area of Yorkshire. In fact, they have 125 acres of space in the fields near Bradshaw Road, Thick Hollins Road and Wilshaw Mill Road, so it looks like there will be a lot going on.

So why was the preview day not there? In a word, they are still setting it all up, lol! So having the preview day at Bowcliffe Hall makes sense, even though it was on the other side of Leeds. In fact, Bowcliffe Hall has it's own driving club, and quite a few car launches have been held there. Here you can see Ben, and Andy Harris - our NGMW chairman - enjoying a quick trip out with the owner of Bowcliffe Hall in his Bentley.

Now in it's second year, the Yorkshire Motorsport Festival is aiming to become the "Goodwood Festival of Speed of the North" and are offering a myriad of attractions aimed at giving the whole family a fun day out. There will be lots of cars - a given - and also a hill climb spectacle, with 75 cars competing over the full three days. There will also be live music in the evenings to add to the food and festivities.

More to follow as we get nearer the event.

Thank you all, and enjoy.

Annabelle 😊
