trees took an oath of silence
birds of prey froze in time forever
all is dead in the lake

In this Haiku, I tried to say that a period exists between birth and rebirth that is meant for rest, before the full bloom and beauty that nature offers us, it goes to an emptiness that is devoid of any beauty. A rest for all creatures, a sleep of death where they connect with the source or mother nature to refresh their energies and start producing what they do best in nature. All the beauty that faded away shows itself in a new form.

I tried the #monthofhaiku challenge that @raj808 is doing and it is still ongoing if you would like to join in, feel free to participate. Check out my other poems @poemsofasickmind. This poem is an original poem written by @poemsofasickmind
