Chaos Knight Spotlight!
I decided to play around with the Life Splinter in Champion 3, and I noticed Chaos Knight was pretty strong! She's got lots that she brings to the table, and I think she's a must pick! Let's discuss why!
The Lore
True to the name, the Chaos Knight is part of the invading forces! Wielding giant axes, they devastate the Chaos Legions foes with frightening strength! Fear the chaos of the Chaos Knights!
The Unit
For a Common Life Unit, the Chaos Knight brings a lot to the table. It has three abilities that come out at different levels, making her a stronger pick as her level increases.
Bronze League
At Level 3, she is strong enough to act as a frontline tank. She's got the shield to reduce damage from both melee and ranged damage.
Silver League
At level 5, giant killer comes into play! This is situational, but works really well versus units with mana costs above 10!
Gold League
At level 8, there's not much difference from the level 5, except for more stats. 5 shield, with 6 Health makes this really tanky.
Diamond and Champion League
At this league, this is where she shines! The inspire ability makes her incredibly strong for a melee damage team. You don't even need to bring her to level 10. Level 9 is good enough since 1 additional HP won't make too much of a difference. But if you've got the budget, go to level 10! That 1 HP might be the game winning HP xD
Level 10 Replays
Win
In this match, I wanted to protect my backline so I placed a Pelacor Conjurer. I then focused on destroying the front, with Chaos Knight taking the brunt of the front damage. Doctor Blight was the MVP here, as towards the end it was a 1v1 with poison being the key to victory.
Win
In a melee only match, the Inspire ability along with demoralize made for a great combo. Even though Mylor is a supposed counter, I still won because of armor and a well placed Inspire and Demoralize.
It's not always a win
I planned for Chaos Knight to soak up all the damage from sneak attacks, but because of the speed of my enemy, I lost
Win
In this match, it's hard to see who would win at first glance. I contemplated bringing in the taunt, but I decided to focus on bringing support and destroying them from the back. My gamble was right as my Loan Boatman's shatter was able to make short work of their armor. The Inspire ability worked really well here.
Conclusion
Chaos Knight deserves to be in every Life deck. This is definitely a card I plan to buy more of during the general sale, especially since I believe she is an important card in the Modern League.
