Hello Travel friends, may God always bless us all. Greetings to all stakeholders.

I am very happy that on this occasion I will share posts about travel and culture. In commemoration of the 442nd anniversary of the city of Takengon, the city government of Takengon held a cultural festival and parade. This is a rare moment when you visit the city of Takengon and can witness this cultural activity.

You can only see an event like this once a year, so you are lucky to be able to see this cultural festival activity through my post. After Covid-19 restricted public activities, this year has become quite a joyous event for the people of Takengon, Central Aceh. All residents are happy to welcome the anniversary activities of their city.

As a tourist, of course this is quite a pleasant moment when you can witness this celebration first hand. Here we can see how Gayo residents and a number of tourists enjoy folk entertainment which is held with a cultural parade. You can see the local wisdom and culture of the Gayo tribe, which is the majority ethnic group in the city of Takengon, Central Aceh.

This parade activity was attended by students in the Central Aceh district, ranging from elementary school students to high school students. At least we can see around thousands of students participating in this parade. In this parade they wore various cultural costumes and customs from Indonesia, including traditional costumes.

The parade was also enlivened by the appearance of a traditional dance from Central Aceh, namely the "Munalo" dance. There were also a number of students who performed marching bands which made the atmosphere even louder with the music they played. This parade activity can introduce local wisdom, culture and traditions from the Gayo tribe in particular.

But in general, they also introduce a number of traditional costumes from various regions in Indonesia. Another part that also draws attention is the money costume made with a very attractive and unique appearance. Some of the costumes were designed by me and formed several unique themes, some of which used materials to make costumes from used/waste materials.

There are also several other costumes that describe their work as coffee farmers. Indeed, Central Aceh district besides being known for its many tourist attractions with exotic natural tourist spots, this city is also known for the majority of its citizens who work as farmers. The majority of production from agriculture is coffee, Gayo coffee is very famous because it has a special taste compared to coffee from other regions, and this coffee has also been exported.

Activities like this are fun entertainment for Gayo residents and tourists. We were able to learn many things and get to know about the culture and traditions that have become the local wisdom of the residents. On the other hand, activities like this can attract the attention of tourists and allow them to come to Gayo.

With many tourist visits, it will be able to provide financial income and economic turnover. The tourism, culinary and lodging sectors are 3 sectors that will benefit directly from the growth in the number of tourists to Takengon. In my opinion, cultural celebrations like this should be maintained and preserved on an ongoing basis from generation to generation.

I am happy to get these various posts and hope you can find something unique from the photos I share. Of course, performances like this will be different in every region, that's culture, traditions that have their own characteristics and make them unique. Thus my post, I hope you enjoy it and thank you for reading and responding to my post.

As a result, I've written this piece in the hopes that it would inform and enlighten everyone. I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment on my article. Wishing us all the best of luck!
