Un paseo para calmar el ánimo (ESP/ENG)

Estoy de visita en la ciudad de Caracas, donde nací, pero donde no resido actualmente.

Esta mañana salí muy temprano a tramitar mi documento de
identidad en la oficina de identificación. Al llegar a la taquilla despues de hacer mas de una hora de cola, me informaron que por problemas de bloqueo de mis datos tendría que esperar dos semanas para hacerlo.

I am visiting the city of Caracas, where I was born, but where I do not currently reside. This morning I went out very early to apply for my identity card at the identification office. When I arrived at the ticket office after waiting in line for more than an hour, I was informed that due to problems with the blocking of my data I would have to wait two weeks to do it.

Sali de alli y decidi caminar y admirar el hermoso paseo Los Próceres, con su vegetación en caminerías y jardines ademas de escuchar el canto de las aves y ver la actividad de las personas que aprovechan este lugar para ejercitarse.

I left there and decided to walk and admire the beautiful promenade Los Proceres, with its vegetation in walkways and gardens as well as listen to the birds singing and see the activity of the people who take advantage of this place to exercise.

Los árboles que pude observar son muy grandes, frondosos y con troncos y raíces muy gruesos. Y son el soporte de plantas epífitas y trepadoras.

The trees I observed are very large, leafy and with very thick trunks and roots. And they are the support of epiphytes and climbing plants.

Hermosos arbustos con flores como la rosa de Berbería (Nerium oleander) están sembrados en las jardineras que estan dispuestas en toda el área central donde hay esculturas, fuentes y bancos que invitan a la contemplación y al descanso.

Beautiful flowering shrubs such as the Barbary rose (Nerium oleander) are planted in the planters that are arranged 9throughout the central area where there are sculptures, fountains and benches that invite contemplation and rest.

Escuché los sonidos alborotados de las guacamayas en las palmas. Ellas se alimentan de sus frutos.

I heard the rambunctious sounds of the macaws in the palms. They feed on their fruits.

Quise tomarles fotografías pero en el área donde estaban cerca de los edificios militares, un guardia me informó que no podía hacerlo.

Una fotografía del cielo azul con las aves en vuelo es lo que puedo mostrarles.

I wanted to take pictures of them but in the area where they were near the military buildings, a guard informed me that I could not.

A picture of the blue sky with the birds in flight is what I can show you.

Continue mi camino y mire la montaña que protege la ciudad, el Guaraira repano o El Avila como la llamamos. Hermosa en su inmensa naturaleza con la ciudad de Caracas a sus pies.

Continue my way and look at the mountain that protects the city, the Guaraira repano or El Avila as we call it. Beautiful in its immense nature with the city of Caracas at its feet.

Este paseo calmó mi espíritu y apaciguo mi ánimo. Hay que buscar el equilibrio en lo natural, ese contacto que podemos disfrutar en muchos lugares de esta hermosa ciudad.

This walk calmed my spirit and soothed my mood. We must seek balance in nature, that contact that we can enjoy in many places in this beautiful city.
