A Beautiful Sublime Sunday Above, in the Water and the Land...

As I awoke I looked out my window to see a lovely pinkish color light from the rising sun so I arose with the sun and went out to see if I could catch the sunrise.

I went out onto my deck and in every direction there were beautiful scenes as everything began to awaken.

I loved seeing the sunlight putting a warm glow on the trees and was happy I got up to greet the dawn!

The sunrise was painting the pine trees with it's orange and red light then a beautiful robin appeared and brightened the pine trees even more!

The early morning dew was leaving droplets on the different surfaces like this leaf -

Later in the morning an interesting cloud formation rolled in above the spruce tree tops.

On my morning walk I heard a crane and looked again up into the clouds and there was a graceful crane flying towards the pond.

I had to make a trip to town and bought my camera along. I was glad I did for there was a car stopping event that happened. A large family of Canada Geese made a crossing over the highway to get to the pond. It took them quite awhile to get across for they kept coming. There were 22 goslings in that family which were quite mature !

Safe across the road the geese ducked into the tall grasses then on into the pond.

Shortly after that another mother goose came across the road with two much younger goslings. They seemed to be trying to catch up with the others.

Eventually the goose with the young family did catch up to the other geese.

It was beautiful to see them feeding in the pond...

Also on that pond were a couple of duck families. I think one was the Barrows goldeneye ducks and the other was the Bufflehead ducks. They have similar marking but the buffleheads are smaller and do not have those distinctive golden eyes. They are also divers.
