As the first rays of Easter morning pierced through the partially obscured sky, we embarked on a tranquil journey towards the majestic peaks of Serra da Santa Justa and Pia. The weather, though capricious, added an element of mystery to our adventure, alternating between gentle drizzles and fleeting moments of clarity.

Our hike commenced in the early hours, the air crisp with the promise of a new day. The soft patter of rain accompanied our footsteps, a rhythmic backdrop to the symphony of nature awakening around us. Despite the intermittent showers, there was an undeniable serenity in the atmosphere, as if the heavens themselves were bestowing their blessings upon our expedition.

Guided by the faint light of dawn, we traversed the winding trails leading to the revered Capela de Santa Justa e Santa Rufina. Perched atop the rugged terrain, the chapel stood as a beacon of faith amidst the untamed wilderness. Its ancient stones whispered tales of centuries past, each step towards it imbued with a sense of reverence for the history it held.

Arriving at the chapel, we paused to pay homage to the patron saints, whose watchful gaze seemed to transcend time itself. Within the hallowed halls, the air was heavy with the scent of incense, carrying our prayers aloft towards the heavens. In this sacred sanctuary, we found solace amidst the storm, our spirits uplifted by the solemnity of the occasion.

Reaching the exterior of the Capela de S. Sabino, we paused once more to marvel at its amazing architectural. Though we could not enter its hallowed halls, the mere sight of its weathered façade filled us with a sense of awe and reverence.

In its radiant glow, we found reassurance that even in the darkest of times, there is always light to guide us on our journey. With hearts full of gratitude, we made our way back to the valley below, our spirits renewed by the promise of a new day dawning.
