BATTLE MAGE SECRET Weekly Challenge! TRUE AIM

RULESET: AIM TRUE

With the Aim True ruleset melee and ranged attacks will always hit their target. It also applies to magic attacks as well even if they have the phase ability.

As we can see it makes the speed stats a little less effective.

After battling for a long time, I got the Aim True ruleset with the Engage. Now let's focus on my lineup and see how I tried to utilize these rulesets during a battle.

This was just a 16-mana battle. So, I had to utilize every drop of that carefully. Let me remind you that the battle had the following ruleset

• AIM TRUE - Attacks always hit their target.

• What Doesn't Kill You - All monsters have the Enrage ability.

I like to use Life splinter for this combination of rulesets but it was not available so I went with the water deck and chose Keyla Frendul as my summoner which gave all my monsters one extra speed and armour. The extra armour should help immensely in lower mana battles.

In the first position, I used the Torrent Fiend as it was a zero mana cost unit. With only 16 mana to spare it is a nice unit to have in your battle. Although it doesn't have any abilities but the armour received from the summoner made it last slightly longer during the battle.

In the next position, I used the Venari Wavesmith. With its magic damage, it had the power to ignore any armour and gave extra 2 armour to all my monsters as it has the protect ability. I went for the magic attack instead of the melee or ranged attack just because of the extra armour I got from this unit.

In the next position, I placed the Uraeus. It is a neutral melee attacker which deals with 2 melee attacks and comes with armour of its own. Also, it comes with an interesting ability called sneak which attacks from the end of the enemy lineup. This makes it a great weapon for surprise attacks and I love to use sneaky monsters in my battles.

Ice Pixie came in the fourth position, it was another mage which costs only 2 mana. Due to its very low mana cost and better speed, I used this otherwise I was thinking of using a ranged attacker. It only came with 1 health point but due to Venari Wavesmith's protect ability and the summoner, it received enough protection before the start of the battle.

In the last position, I used the Xenith Archer. It also costs only 2 mana but came with 3 health points. Although it deals 1 ranged attack with very low speed, the True Aim ability helped me here and I knew that its attacks will not miss during this battle.

Let's talk about my strategy for this game.

My Strategy

Because I had only 16 mana to spare, I decided to use low-cost monsters (with weaker health) and protect them by giving extra armour. My summoner and Venari Wavesmith helped me with this and before the start of the battle, all my monsters had at least 3 armour.

Also, using Xenith Archer and other low-speed units was not a bad strategy as they won't miss their hits because of the True Aim ruleset.

It worked very well. The decision to give extra protection in the form of armour proved to be a good one. Although it was a tough fight due to my True Aim ability I got no misses even from low-speed monsters and eventually won the battle. In hindsight, I could have used another unit replacing the Ice Pixe as its flying ability did not contribute to this battle.
