Helping my grandfather in Savana | theHunter: Call of the Wild

Hello, gamers. Welcome back to my blog.

I am loving this new hunting game that I picked up in a recent steam sale. I switched over to Savana region in my last episode as I like the whole atmosphere at this place. Scorching heat with dried grassland and open fields helps me locate animals easily and I can get a lot of animals here.

My grandfather is a warden in this park and he is helping me accustomed to this place. On that quest, he told me about a big poacher problem here. They have set up a few traps to trap animals. In this mission, I have to go and find those traps and remove those.

I left on foot to the pinned location. But after walking for a min or so. I heard footsteps. After looking around I saw a Scrub Hare jumping around. I took the shot from at least 150 meters and got him on the first try.

I then continued my journey and found a small pond where I can set up a hunting shed and shoot some animals when/if they come to drink water in this scorching heat.

Soon, I saw some Gemsbok resting. They were at least 300 meters away from me. I had to get closer to hit a vital shot on them.

I snuck up and they sensed me (or my dog) and when they were about to get spooked, I took a shot at one of a female's right lungs.

And it worked... I got a nice shit that pierced her flesh and hit both her stomach and right lungs, enough to take down a big class 8 mammal like her. Still, I had to track her for over a kilometre.

Okay, back to the mission, enough strolling around. I found the traps quite easily. There were three of them at different places. It was a fairly simple mission.

While I was at this poacher's site, I started a new mission. I have to go to the Tree of Life, a big baobab tree in the middle of Savana and pick a relic that will help me get the blessing from the spirits Nyaminyami.

It was a beautiful tree standing tall in an open grass field. I like this location. While I was collecting the relic from there, I found a herd of Blue Wildebeest grazing over the dried grass of Savana.

I snuck up to this herd as well and aimed at one of the biggest males. This one weighed over 260 kg and gave me a gold trophy. I hit some vital organs like the lungs, liver and stomach. It died quickly and I got the quick kill bonus as well.

This was a nice hunting session. I got a few nice kills, especially this last golden Wildebeest. Completed two more missions and I am in love with Savana at the moment. Much easier to spot and hunt here than at Layton Lakes.

I will come back with more hunting sessions. Until then have fun and enjoy the Holidays!

Thanks for reading...

Until next time...

So the old buddy (the grandpa) is lucky to have you there. The Scrub Hare looks like a bird through the binocular. Nice hunting by the way.

We see only the things we like to see.

However, I don't endorse hunting innocent animals for fun. Just in games...lol
