Tale of an emerging hunter: From Rookie to a Pro!

Hello and Welcome back to my blog!

After successfully taking down some beasts in Savannah, both our Master Hunter and the Rookie huntress were satisfied and were ready for a tougher challenge. They packed their luggage and went to the other side of the world, Emerald Coast, Australia.

Emerald Coast is the latest DLC map in thehunter: Call of the Wild, it features a lot of new native Australian species, including the infamous Eastern Grey Kangaroo and deadly Saltwater Crocodiles.

It was a beautiful morning and their intention was to go towards the eastern coastline to hunt the deadly Crocodiles, but they were not going to let any animal go unharmed!

They saw a big and beautiful Sambar deer who was not aware that it would be his last morning. Our Rookie was taking some time to align her scope to shoot but that made the master hunter impatient and he took the shot, killing the deer on the spot.

It was a beautiful specimen, a big male, weighing about 285 kg with a good set of antlers. This was a perfect start to their hunting session.

They reached a lake which was on their way to the coastline. It looked beautiful and on the other side of it were more deer drinking. The sun was still playing hide and seek with the clouds.

They saw a herd of Banteng, a species of cattle found in this reserve, and shot a couple of them. They are big and relatively easier targets for the hunter. But they usually take a lot of firepower to hunt.

Finally, they were at the coastline after walking for a couple of miles. The sun was still not too high up in the sky as they stalked some crocodiles along the coast.

Their first kill was a joint effort from both of them. A relatively smaller female was basking out in the open on the sand. They both shot her twice almost in the same location, at the thoracic vertebrae, which was enough to take it down quickly but didn't give the full reward as it was not a vital organ hit.

Some Banteng were distracting them from focusing on the crocs. But they couldn't distract our Master Hunter even though the rookie gets distracted with every call she hears!

They spent some time walking along the shore and hunting down those big crocodiles who had come to the beach to take some rest.

Look at that beast! Don't worry it was dead and floating in the water. They try to retreat to the water when they sense some danger but sometimes they get aggressive and try to attack the hunters too. And once in a while, they can surprise you all of a sudden just like they do with their prey.

During one such attack, someone left their partner to die and ran away while the guy was screaming to shoot as it was locked onto him.

They searched the entire coastline, clearing or scaring away all the crocks on their way. It was a pretty successful session.

One of the funniest incidents was when a Banteng decided to commit suicide, she really gave up on life. But our hunters were not that cruel to let her die like this so they decided to make her death quicker (and perhaps saved her from committing a sin like suicide and saved her spot in the Cattle heaven... what a kind gesture by them)

After saving someone from a potential hell seat they moved on to the north-eastern part which is a mangrove swamp, much more deadlier than the clear coastline. It is a much better hunting ground for the crocodiles and they blend here well.

They got a lot of gold trophies but sadly, no diamonds this time around. Only a few had the potential to be diamonds but they came out to be a bit short at the harvest time. But it was quite fun hunting all those deadly crocodiles along with some deer and Banteng.

They decided to move to another place to get a bit more diverse range of animals.

And look at that beauty! Not too far from being a diamond and those antlers are just majestic. My favourite species of deer are the Red Deer just because of their impressive antlers.

And how can they end the session without an ass shot? So, here is a running shot on Hog deer which was a fatal blow that eventually killed it.

They are relatively small species and this one was a small female only weighing around 27 kg.

Another impressive deer species on this reserve is the Fallow Deer. We ended our session by killing a bunch of them who came to drink water from the lake.

I should say that our rookie huntress has almost become a pro at this point. She has gained a lot of experience in the past few weeks and is a lethal hunter. She has leveled up her game a lot which makes the master hunter so proud!

This was one of the most successful sessions of hunting both of them ever had. Australia is filled with many species and each has a decent population. One cannot get too far without seeing or hearing some signs of animals. Some animals are hostile like the Saltwater Crocodile and some get aggressive when triggered like the Banteng and Kangaroo. It was a fun experience for both of them!

This was the tale of a new and budding hunter @bemier 🖤, based on the events that took place during our latest session of our theHunter: Call of the Wild. I hope you enjoyed it!

Thanks for reading...

Until next hunt...

Well, the first can't be a joint effort as the master hunter shot that one but collectively a nice hunting adventure with some amazing scenes.

If you mean the crocodile screenhots, both of them are the same animal but with both bullet damage highlighted on each of the screenshots. If you see above my name you will see it! She did 49% damage while my bullet did 51%.

Thanks for the support!

@pravesh0

I've played this game a few times. Quite realistic and immersing. But what I love about this post. Is the time you took, to create a story via the game play. This was really well done!
