99 Good, One Bad
You know that thing where they say that most people never remember all the good you've done for them, just because you did one wrong? Well, something like that happened today, not to me, but to a friend of mine.
To be honest, I might be exaggerating the whole issue a bit, but just listen to the story.
A friend of mine who came to visit today was telling the story of the last time he visited his barber. This was the same barber that always cut my hair and that I had introduced him to for close to a year now.
Well apparently, the last time he visited her shop, she had gotten so carried away with the conversation she was having with other people that she had messed up his hair. According to him, he said it was so bad that he had to wear a hat every day to work for weeks, and when he finally grew out some hair, he quickly asked his colleague for a different barber and had changed his barber.
In as much as his reason was valid, I couldn't help but feel like maybe one mistake shouldn't have been enough reason for him to cut her off. I get it that it's his hair and his money and he can do whatever he wants, but if we were to give it some thought, this is a lady that has been cutting his hair for over a year with no mistake, and yet the first time she makes one, he decides to leave her for a new barber.
Of course it's not a big deal; people change barbers all the time, but I just couldn't help but think about the phrase 99 good and one bad, which basically tells us about how people ignore all the good we've done for them the moment we do one bad thing.

I can also relate, i accommodated a friend for many months for free, but recently asked her to get a space for herself as my sister would join me soon, now she sees me as the worst human on earth. That's just how it has been, people easily forget your good deeds but hardly forget just that one mistake.
