Grandpa Willy watched the kids as they playfully moved from one artifact to another. It seems the kid where on an excursion trip to the museum. Their teacher was trying all he could to coordinate the kids. Grandpa Willy smiled when he heard one of the kids called an artifact "Crap" after he read the inscription that was written under it. He waited until the kids and their teacher had gone a little further before he approached the artifact.

"Sango.
The god of thunder
Ekiti, Nigeria 1823"

Granpa Willy slowly read out the inscription. He smiled as he gently placed his glasses back in his pocket.

“If only the kid knew” he said to himself as thoughts of what happened many years ago came back to him.

Granpa Willy was still in his youthful age when he and five of his friends had all decided to travel down to Africa, to a little town known as the Urhobo village for some sightseeing. Willy had taken the liberty to learn a little of the language before they all embarked on their trip.

The Journey to Africa had been a smooth one. The people of Urhobo welcomed them with friendly arms. They made sure they entertained them with their traditional dance and food.

The night they arrived, the village chief had invited them into his home, he had said they were free to go anywhere they wanted except for one place, the Cave. He had told them stories of people who had gone into the cave and never returned. A story Willy's friends felt was too superstitious to be true, so they had disobeyed the warnings of the chief and had gone to the cave. All Willy's effort to dissuade them from going fell on deaf ears. So they had all gone in. But right before Willy stepped into the cave, he had tried to bring the guys attention to something that was written on the wall at the cave. It wasn't written in english, but Willy was able to understand a bit of what was written there.

Ten minutes into the cave and everything seemed fine. Willy's friends were making fun of the villagers who were foolish enough to believe such ridiculous story when all of a sudden they felt a sudden swoosh past them and one of them disappeared. Then another swoosh and another person went missing, this time it was accompanied with screams.

Willy immediately closed his eyes. He could hear everything, but dared not open his eyes. The words written outside of the cave were now starting to make sense to him.

“No matter what you hear, do not open your eyes.”

How he had escaped that day still remained a mystery. The village chief said he had been lucky to be alive. No one heard or saw his friends again. It was like they had vanished into thin air. Even the police had thought he was crazy.

No one believed him, even till this day.
