No Hidden Talent
I've seen or heard of cases where people just randomly come out one day and show some new dancing skills or talent that even their friends had no idea they had. Moments like that are always wholesome to me because the shock on their friends face along with the cheer coming from the crowd makes it very special. I know this because I always take note of this things when they happen because I wish they were happening to me too.
I remember many years ago when I was still a little kid, there was this other little kid in my street who was a very good dancer. He would just come out at parties and dance like never before while the whole crowd cheer and give him money. I remember how I would daydream I was that kid and that everyone was cheering for me. Unfortunately, growing up, I was a very shy kid who couldn't handle too much attention. So it was kind of confusing because I wanted to be able to not be shy and dance in the public and yet I didn't want to be the centre of attraction to the public, lol.
Anyways, I stopped daydreaming after I tried learning how to dance all by myself and it just didn't work out. One thing I ended up discovering I was very good at was football. It turned out I was actually one of the best youngsters who could play really good and entertaining football.
I remember one time I played so good that some group of men gathered together to watch us and after we were done playing, they called me and handed some amount of money to me as a way of appreciating my skill. It was a really important moment for me because that was one of the few times my skills were appreciated.
Unfortunately, we moved to a different area and being the shy kid I was, I couldn't go meet the kids in the new area to join them play football. So I stayed at home and didn't touch a ball for three years (if not more than that).
And just like any other talent, the further you keep away from it, the further your skill at it deteriorates and that was what happened to me. I still play good football now but I just have to admit that I'm no longer as skillful as I used to be. These days, all I do is control the ball and give a good pass, unlike back in the days when I always disrespected people with my dribbling skills.
Very good article, I think you haven't played body ball for 3 years it's really the wrong time. In fact, if we can continue to practice, of course we will definitely get better and develop. Sometimes we have talent but our environmental conditions sometimes do not support our talent so that our talent is hidden within us.Alright friends, thank you very much for displaying this great article.
Thank you for reading.
This line 😅😅😅
It's not fair oooo!
Most times we wish for other people's talent, and unknown to us ours may even be greater and more than what we can imagine.
I believe if you had developed your talent more and maybe grow higher in skills and all... and if the country supports young talents well well... by now we for dey see your actions for television 😁
I'm just being sincere brother 😂
Well, unfortunately all we can do is imagine.
Thanks for reading bro..
Hahaha
True and we need to nurture and maintain the one we have also
Guy, why not develop this talent of yours? Who knows wether you will become our naija rep in football ⚽ in the future 😂😂, just like all these knitting stuff 🧶🧶....I had it earlier though not too serious with it until I saw the need and started developing it.
Lol.. Football for me now is just for fun.. I rarely play this days... And pursuing a career in football used to be a dream of mine in the past, not anymore.. Unless there's a huge amount of money somewhere that I can use to sponsor myself 😅
The kind of talent you have doesn't have age on it side, it wanes as you age
Yup
