As a kid, father will always see me trying to repair spoilt phone chargers. One time he had asked me if I enjoy what I was doing and I had told him yes. Unknown to me, he was taking notes and I'm sure he had not been surprised when I announced to him that I wanted to study engineering in higher institution.

Luckily for me, I was offered admission to study Electrical Engineering, a course that if I had known how difficult it is, I probably would have changed my mind, Lol. Anyways, my first year in school almost became my last year in school after I discovered some errors on my school documents a week to my first semester exam. The error was so disastrous that if I had done nothing about it, it would have seen me go to an entirely different department, an offer my dad was completely against.

He had told me that if I couldn't rectify the error and remain in my current department, then I was coming back home. Imagine returning back home few months after everyone in your street and church have been told that you've gone to school, it was going to be the greatest embarrassment of my life.

Luckily for me I got it solved and I wrote my exams successfully with no further hiccups, well except for that one time where we were made to write an of two hours in an hour. The funny thing was that even if we had been given the complete two hours to write the exam, the time still wouldn't have been enough to answer all of the questions. How I had passed that course still remains a mystery to me.

Well like I said, everything was going very well until the end of my first year when I went for four months industrial training and then another tragedy struck, but then again I escaped that one too.

Looking back at everything now and thinking about the whole obstacles I've encounter during these past years in school, I don't think anyone will blame me if I say that it's like the devil is just trying so hard to see me fail, as if the department itself isn't doing enough already.

But then again at the end of it all, I know I'm going to come out victorious because there ain't no way I'm going back home a loser, no way.
