This Beautiful Love Story

As Grace watched Dayo, her soon-to-be husband read out his vows to her, she tried to hold back the tears from falling down her cheeks but even she knew that was impossible. She allowed the tears flow freely as memories on how she first meant Dayo came rushing in.

She and Dayo had both met in her school. They were both in the same class but Dayo was from a different school and had come to Grace's school to apply for the West African Examination also known as Waec. Only few schools were permitted to host this exams and that was why Dayo had to come over at Graces'

The first time they met isn't exactly how every typical love story starts. Dayo had been in a hurry to go make payment for the exams in the principals office as the deadline was that day when he bumped into her coming out of the office.

Grace had been pissed, not only because he bumped into her, but because he had walked into the principals office without apologizing to her. She had hated him immediately, cursing him under her breath as she left the office.

But Dayo didn't realize what he did until after he was done making payments for the exam and that was when he remembered what had happened. He had searched for Grace to apologize to her but couldn't find her, so he waited until end of class, and that was when he saw her walking out and he approached.

Grace had obviously been really pissed and had refused to give Dayo a listening ear but the young lad had been very persuasive. She decided to listen to whatever he had to say but had no plans of forgiving him when her came out of no where and gave Dayo the embarrassment of his life. Grace's mom was also a teacher in the school, something Dayo knew nothing about. And when she saw him talking to her daughter, her instinct had immediately told her that another male predator was after her precious child.

Grace couldn't help but smile as she remembered the way Dayo had ran that day. She had later decided to forgive him, seeing how her mother had embarrassed him and that was enough punishment for him.

The duo had later gone on to be friends and before the end of the exams, they both had fallen head over heels in love with themselves and Grace knew that was only the beginning of their beautiful love story as she was about to spend the rest of her life with the love of her life.
