A plate of flavourful Hot Green Peas Paranthas!!(Matar K Paranthe)

Hello hiveans... hope all are good and healthy.
New Year is coming around and we except good things from the coming New year. Lets make 2024 our best year yet.

So For New year, I bought a Recipe of Green Peas Paranthas(Matar ke paranthe). These Paranthas are No onion and no Garlic Recipe and can be made in breakfast, lunch or dinner or can also be packed in tiffin/lunch box.

Many people loves to put garlic and onions in paranthas but I prefer the simpliest form without adding these and the flavour of Fresh green peas will enhance the taste buds.

Its Winter season and green peas are in season.
I would say that take fresh Green peas for the Matar paranthas because it will be more tastier and flavourful.
These paranthas are served with plain or mango pickle. You can also make sweet and tangy Tomato🍅 chutney.

So lets see how to make Peas Parantha.


INGREDIENTS

▪︎green peas-2 cup
▪︎water-1cup
▪︎wheat flour-1cup
▪︎salt-to the taste.
▪︎carrom seeds-½tspn
▪︎turmeric powder-⅓tspn
▪︎oil- for the paranthas
▪︎ginger-½tbspn
▪︎garam masala-½tspn


METHOD-

1.take fresh grean peas

2.boil it for 10 mins.

3.drain the water properly. There shouldnot be any water in them.

4.now take wheat flour in a platter.

5.add 1 tbspn oil, salt ½tspn and carrom seeds.

6.now knead a dough by adding the proper amount of water

7.keep aside.

8.now take the green boiled peas in a grinder and add ginger and greenchilies. Grind it in a coarse paste but not in a thin watery paste.

9.Now heat oil in wok.

10.add cumin seeds and asofaedita.

11.now add the green peas paste. Cook it for 5 mins.

12.further add turmeric powder, salt and garam masala. Cook for 5 mins more and Mix it and keep aside and let it cool.

13.now divide the dough balls in equal size.

14.now take one dough ball and dust it with the flour.

15.Roll it and place the green peas stuffing on the middle

16.cover the edges and seal it.

17.now dust it with some flour and roll it gently of about 7 daimeter. No problem if you will roll the small shape. The taste will be the same.

18.now heat a skillet and place the parantha on meduim heat.

19.now flip the parantha when one side is cooked.

20.now spread some Oil on the top with the help of spoon.

21.Flip again.

22 .spread some oil or ghee on this side too.

23.flip again and cook till both the sides appear brown or golden spots. press the edges with the spatula so that the edges will also cooked well

Cook it well.
Make the rest paranthas and serve them hot or warm.

Its ready to serve!!

You can serve these yummy paranthas with mango pickle/tomato chutney or curd.
