Hello! Hope all are doing good.

I went for a small trip to Coimbatore with my hubby. Coimbatore is in Tamil Nadu, approximately 8hrs from Bangalore via train journey.
It was one day trip for us. We went to some temples there like most famous and popular temple of Coimbatore is Marudhamalai arulmigu subramanyaswami Temple, Maha Shiva Adiyogi Statue and GeeDee car Muesuem and some local small temples were there.

Early morning we reach Coimbatore, fresh n up in a hotel there. Had breakfast and then we hired a cab, he took us to all the visiting places there.

First we went to a temple of Ganesha, Mundhi vinayagur temple. But the photography was not allowed inside the temple. So I can't share the pic of the temple and the idol But it was very big Ganesha temple in black stone and the priest told us that it is the biggest idol in Asia It is situated in the main area of Coimbatore. The idol is so huge and beautifully decorated. You can see the idol and can sit for hours in the peace of the huge divine power.

Then we went for another temple which is Marudhamalai Arulmigu subramanyaswami Temple. It is dedicated to Lord Murugan, the avatar of lord Kartikeya. It is situated in the top hill surrounded by greenery. You can get the nice view from the top. It is very Popular temples and must visiting places in Coimbatore. There is two option, one by climbing the stairs or take a bus to the hilltop. It will took 5 to 7 mins. And by stairs I don't have idea because it was 500 stairs. So in my view it might take half n hour to reach their. But we went by Bus.

Then we went for Geedee car Muesuem 🚗. I shared some pics in my previous blog. So I am sharing some more pics here.

Then it's turn for Adiyogi. Actually it is the main attraction of Coimbatore. Adiyogi is a big Statue of Lord Shiva. It is 112 feet. And situated out of the Coimbatore approximately 30 km away from the main city.

We reached there at 5 pm by cab. It took about 45 mins to reach Isha Foundation yoga center.

At First we went for Dhyanalinga. It is a yogic temple in Isha Founation. Inside the premises, there is a linga which is 13mt in height and made up of black granite stone. Inside there no phones are allowed and silence is maintained there. You have to keep your phones in the counter they provide you there outside of the temple.

Inside the temple we should sit there and do meditation for 15 mins. We can only exit the temple when the bell rings after 15 mins. There we have to keep silence and you will feel the peace there.
Then there is a Nandi outside the temple and a Surya Kund and Chandra kund .Surya kund is for males and chandrakund is for females. It is a sacred pool. People's can take a dip inside this kund and go to temple. In the water there is 3 mercury lingams.

There is Bhairvilinga temple. Where we can do puja and offer scared thread and flowers. There are canteens and food items outside the temple. Coming out from Dhyanalinga, there are shopping stalls. You can do some shopping and have coffee or tea. Then we can take our phones and cameras and move ahead for Adiyogi.

From Dhyanalinga we have to take bullock cart to reach Adiyogi Statue. It will take Rs 10 to 15/- per person.

ADIYOGI the Statue of Shiva, it is designed by the founder of Isha foundation, sadguru jaggi Vasudeva.
The Statue is 112 ft tall and recognized as the Largest best sculputers by Guinness World records I have read.

The Statue is surrounded by mountains and greenery. There is huge lands surrounded by forest. Long coconut and palm tress are there in Long distance. The beauty of this place is just awesome. The Statue is so beautiful that you can stare it for hours.
As we reached there at evening so we can take much photos of mountains and greenery as it was dark.

At evening 7.15 there is a Lazer light & sound show on this Statue. And it was incredible. In this Lazer light and sound show, in sadguru voice , narrates the story of Adiyogi and show that how the science of yoga came to human. It is 15 mins light and sound show, that is projected upon Adiyogis Statue. It was beautiful show. You can't take your eyes off from the light show.

It is a lovely Lazer show and I and my family have never seen anything like this before. We saw many musical fountains at different places but this was just out of my world. The light, sound and the music are tremendous. The light show tells us the story of Shiva how he came on this planet and he was the first Yogi. According to the sadguru Adiyogi transfered the knowledge of Yoga to his seven disciples- saptarishis. Then he became the first guru. The show also tell that how Shiva becomes Ardhanariswar I.e half man and half woman. (Shiva and Parvati).

ARDHANARISWAR.

The entire show is portrayed on one Statue and it is a masterpiece. This will definitely make you fall in love.
It was breathetaking experience.
It is one of the must visiting place in India.

I hope you will not miss the opportunity to go there once.
