Today I am going to share a popular Recipe of i.e Pindi Chole. It is a dish of Punjab and Rawalpindi in pakisthan. But it has a Punjabi delicacy. It tastes so delicious. Once if you have it you will be in love with Chole..... It goes well with Naan , Kulcha, Roti, Bhature and Even with a bowl if Rice...

Chole masala and Pindi chole has little difference only. In normal chana masala or chole masala we use less spices and red chilli powder for the red colour but in Pindi chole we use tea leaves which gives dark brown colour. I have made in a very simple and easy way. You guys must try this dish..


So lets start the preparation of Pindi chole-

Ingredients

▪︎overnight soaked Kabuli chana(chickpea)-2cup
▪︎tea bags-2 or use tea leaves-2tbspn
▪︎cinamon-1
▪︎cardamon-2
▪︎Clove-2
▪︎salt- to the taste
▪︎water-for boiling

▪︎tomatoes puree-1cup
▪︎Onions-1cup
▪︎garlic 10 pods
▪︎ginger-½inch
▪︎greenchili-3/4
▪︎chana masala-1½ tbspn
▪︎asofedita-½tspn
▪︎curry leaves-2(optional)
▪︎black cumin seeds-½tspn
▪︎cumin seeds-½tbspn
▪︎redchili powder-½tspn
▪︎coriànder powder-1tbspn
▪︎oil-3 tbspn
▪︎Fresh coriander leaves-for garnish


METHOD-

1.In a cloth put some tea.

2.and cardamon, clove and Cinnamon sticks.Now give a knot to this cloth.

3.I soaked the Kabuli Chana for overnight in water. Wash it and then place them in cooker.

4.now palce the cloth of tea in the cooker with Kabuli chana.

5.add water for boiling. Cover and cook it for 6 to 7 whistles till the chana is boiled well.

6.open it and it will be like this

7.Now heat oil in a kadhai. Add curry leaves, black cumin seeds, cumin seeds and asofedita.

8.chop the onions.

9.add onions.

10.saute it for 2 mins.

11.now in a grinder put tomatoes, greenchilies, garlic and ginger. Make a puree.

12.add the puree. Stir it and keep the flame low.

13.now add red chili powder, coriander powder and salt.

14.cover it for 10 mins till the masalas are cooked well.

15.now add Chole Masale which we can get from any supermarket or store.

16.now add 2 tbspn of chole masale.

17.mix it properly.

18.the masalas are cooked well.

19.now add water.

20.And add boiled chole.

21.mix it and adjust the consistency with water because once cooled the pindi chole will thickens.

22.cover the kadhai and simmer for 10 to 12 mins in lower flame.

23.now the oil will sperate.

24.add fresh chopped coriander powder.

25.and off the flame.

The Pindi Chole is ready to have with a bowl of Rice or Naan/Kulchaa.
