The fire altar or havan kund is generally made in square shape by brick stone or copper vessel. In this ritual of fire, is a symbol of Hindu cosmology, where human offer something to the gods through the medium of fire and in return they expect that the God will give themstrength, power, peace, health and wealth and purification of the environment. Hawan rituals remains an important part of Hindu ceremonies.

It is believed that havan has a purifying effect on both the devotees and the environment. While doing havan the priest will chant the mantras and offer havan samagri to the fire. The havan samagri contains natural ingredients(dry mixture of herbs, roots and leaves) used during fire worship. It cleans the atmosphere and flush out all the negativity

My uncle is a priest and he made home made samagri at home. In this samagri he added many things which I mentioned below by pics.

This coconut will be used in the havan in the end of the fire rituals. The priest will put this coconut in the fire.

The below pic is when my inlaws bought a new home in Kolkata so they did puja and hawan at our new house to flush out all the evil energy and negativity.

This puja or havan is also said to improve the health of the family members, increase their longevity, maintain harmony and stability in the family. The devotee who perform havan will get rid of all the problems on their way towards success 🙌 . It is very important to perform this havan with great faith in God.
