Prepared Tandoori Alòò-Tikkà (grilled pòtato)
Hello my Hive family! Hope all are good.
Today in my post I am going to share a delicious appetizer Tandoori Aloo tikka.
It's a North indian appetizer mostly popular in restaurants. The potatoes are grilled in marinated with yogurt and spices.
Making these Tandoori tikka at home is easy and get close results of what we get in the restro.
So let's start how to make aloo tikka-:
●Wash and parboil the potatoes, we can use baby potatoes or else cut the big potatoes into half. Remember we don't want mushy or too soft potatoes.Add Salt and boil it.
●Then peel, Prick each potato with fork or toothpick.
●Now add thick yogurt or Greek yogurt to a bowl.
●Then add ginger garlic paste, garam masala, redchilli powder, salt, coriander powder, chat masala, turmeric, kasuri methi and mix it well.
●Then add 2 spoon of gram flour and half tablespoon oil.
●The marinade has to be thick to coat potatoes and should not be runny.
●Add boil potatoes.
●Marinate and set aside for 40 min or we can put them into freezer for 1 hour.
●Now grill aloo tikka
Heat oven and thread the marinate potatoes on to the skewers shown in the pic.
●Place them on a grilling tray and grill them for 15 to 20 min.
●After 15 min turn the skewers to the other side. Grill for another 10 min. The time may vary depending on the size of the potato and the consistency of the marinade.
●You can also add some slices of onions and capsicum too, it's totally optional.
The marinade get stick up a bit but that adds aroma to the Tandoori aloo tikka.
●Smear butter over Tandoori tikka and serve hot with green chutney.
