Purple Cabbage and Potato Dry curry!

Today I saw purple Cabbage here in the market. Earlier I never tried to eat purple Cabbage at home. Only at restaurants I had in salads.
So I thought to make ** Purple Cabbage and potato dry curry**.
I used to make green Cabbage often but this purple one is my first time. So I don't have any idea that how this dry curry is going to be.
But after having this dish with chapati it was really good in taste and similar to green cabbage in taste. But Purple Cabbage has more vitamin A than green one.

The curry of Cabbage is very simple and easy to make within in few mintues and can be packed in lunch boxes.

The only mistake I did here is, I Made this curry in Iron Kadhai so it became black in color.
Make sure to use steel kadhai or any other utensil or pan
except The iron one.😆
unless it will become black in color.

So lets start to make the purple Cabbage dry curry with potatoes-


Ingredients

Purple cabbage- 2 cup
Potato-1 cup
Oil- 2 tbspn
Cumin seeds- ½tbspn
Asofedita-½tbspn
Green chili-2 tspn
Turmeric powder-½ tspn
Red chili powder-½tspn
Salt-according to the taste
Coriander powder-½tspn
Garam masala powder-½tbspn
Bay leaf-1


METHOD

1.wash and chop the purple Cabbage into long strands.

2.Chop the potatoes.

3.now in a pan heat oil.

4.add bay leaf, cumin seeds,asofedita and green chilies.

5.now add Cabbage.

6.saute it for 2 mins.

7.now add potatoes.

8.further add salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder and coriander powder.

9.cook it for 10 to 15 mins till the potatoes and Cabbage are soft and tender.

10.then at last add garam masala powder and off the flame.

11.transfer it in a bowl and serve it with chapati or rice.
