Split Green gram Bean Pancake- moong dal cheela!

Greetings!
When you want to have a healthy and something different for breakfast, bruch or lunch then you should go for an Indian cuisine- moong daal ka chilla - lentils pancake. It can be split green gram or Yellow...In Hindi or in North India we called cheela for Indian pancake. It is north Indian dish and made in house for breakfast or any time.It is healthy and nutritious as well as we can have this pancake our wightloss program. It has fibre and protein so it keep us fuller for long time.

Pancakes are made up of many variations like gramflour, lentils, wheat flour or semolina. By wheat flour and jaggery we can make a sweet cheela it is called Puda

So in my today's blog I am going to share a savoury pancake. It is gluten free and can be made Vegan.

So lets start to make this recipe-

1-1 cup washed and soaked green moong dal (split green lentils)
2.green chilies- 4
3.ginger -1 inch
4.salt- according to taste.
5.oil- for frying.
6.asofeodita- a pinch
7.garam masala- ½tbspn
8.blackpepper- ½ tbspn
9.coriander leaves 🍃

METHOD

1.wash the lentils and soak them for 5 hours.

2.Drain the water.

3.And then transfer the lentils into grinder. Along with 1 inch of Ginger and 2 greenchilies. Add little water to make a smooth paste.

3.transfer the paste into a bowl and add 1 more chopped green chilies & coriander leaves.

4.now add garam masala, asofeodita and blackpepper.

5.mix all the ingredients well. The batter should be smooth like flowing consistency.

To make Pancakes-

1.heat a pan and once the pan is hot then pour one big ladle full of batter to make a thin round on the pan. Spread it. And meduim the flame.

2.smear some oil on the edges and top of the cheela.

3.flip and cook from both sides until it is golden brown. It will take approximately 1 to 2 mins.

4.cook well from both the sides and its ready to serve.

5.serve this moong dal chila with green or coconut chutney or tomato ketchup.

Have it Hot with chutney.
