Sinopsis: Las hermanas Yusra y Sarah Mardini son nadadoras con grandes posibilidades de llegar a unos Juegos Olímpicos. Ese deseo se ve truncado cuando la guerra llega a su país, Siria. Ellas tomarán la decisión de ir por su cuenta a Europa para de alguna manera llevar a su familia y tratar de reconectar con sus sueños.
Synopsis: Sisters Yusra and Sarah Mardini are swimmers with a great chance of reaching the Olympic Games. That desire is cut short when war comes to their country, Syria. They will make the decision to go on their own to Europe to somehow bring their family and try to reconnect with their dreams.
La historia muestra una de muchas historias de refugiados, en donde tras tomar la decisión de irse del país deberán cruzar diversas barreras, desde usar caminos alternos, a escondidas, e incluso cruzar mares en situaciones precarias. En el camino irán conociendo amigos hasta gente que tratara de aprovecharse de la situación. También veremos la situación particular de las protagonistas que tratan de adaptarse a su situación mientras reflexionan sobre sus verdaderos motivos para viajar.
The story shows one of many refugee stories, where after making the decision to leave the country they will have to cross several barriers, from using alternate paths, to hiding, and even crossing seas in precarious situations. Along the way they will meet friends and even people who will try to take advantage of the situation. We will also see the particular situation of the protagonists who try to adapt to their situation while reflecting on their true motives for traveling.
La historia si bien es buena, tiene unas escenas al medio que sin duda es lo más emocionante de la película, luego de ese punto alto, no se vuelve a llegar a eso, dejando un vacío en el espectador. No hay mucho desarrollo real del drama de cada personaje, salvo unos trazos en las protagonistas.
While the story is good, it has a few scenes in the middle that is undoubtedly the most exciting part of the film, after that high point, it doesn't get back to that, leaving a void in the viewer. There is not much real development of the drama of each character, except for a few strokes in the protagonists.
En lo que se refiere a la producción creo que se hace un buen trabajo con los diferentes escenarios que iremos viendo durante la travesía.La actuación si bien es aceptable no destaca en particular. Hay música pero creo que no mezcla bien.
As far as the production is concerned, I think it does a good job with the different scenarios that we will see during the journey, although the acting is acceptable, it doesn't stand out in particular. There is music but I think it does not mix well.
Esta película sirve para conocer lo que pasan muchas personas del mundo al tener que escapar del propio país, como refugiados. Eso lo hace de buena manera, fuera de ello, el resultado no pasa de aceptable.
This film serves to know what many people in the world go through when they have to escape from their own country, as refugees. It does that in a good way, other than that, the result is not more than acceptable.
