Anonymus, Fantasia tertii Toni ex E La Mi
Tne fourth fantasia from manuscript Becker II.2.51 is based on the third church mode, here centered around "E La Mi". I am not sure what this actually means. The fantasia that follows this one in the manuscript is according to the title based on the fourth church mode, again centered around "E La Mi". Both fantasias end on a major triad on E. Based on these two fantasias the difference between the third and fourth church mode is not clear to me.
As the principal for the recording I choose the Principal from the sample set of the Mascioni of the parisch church in Azzio, made by Piotr Gabrowsky (http://piotrgrabowski.pl/azzio.html)

This is utterly magnificent ... there is nothing like a well-played piece of music for the organ ... like a discovery of the ancient past, made vital and new again!
Every time I hear you play it felt like I am transformed back to time in the olden movies where piano concierto was the biggest thing.
Love the melody of the song.
Btw, thank you for supporting my hiveopenmic entry always @primalamusica. God bless you more!
