Friedrich Wilhelm Marpurg, Fuga à 2, B Dur
Marpurg's fugue in B flat major, is a two part fugue that shows more likeness to a capricio or to one of Bach's inventions, than to a classic fugue. In that respect it is a lot like Marpurg's fugue in D major I published two weeks ago (https://partitura.org/index.php/friedrich-wilhelm-marpurg-fuga-d-dur-a-2-voci/). It is an up tempo composition, full of witt and spirit, that is really a pleasure to play.
TThe recording was done on the sampleset, made by Voxus, of the Matthijs van Deventer-orgel (https://www.voxusorgans.com/en/product/nijkerk) in the Grote Kerk, Nijkerk.
