Two men, one composition (Wilhelm Karges, Sebastian Anton Scherer, Capricio Secundi Toni)

Karges' Capricio Secundi Toni is based on Scherer's Intonatio Tertia Secundi Toni.

Scherer's original only makes up the first half of Karges' composition. Karges adds four bars to Scherer's original before coming to a conclusion and then adds a fugato episode of about 30 bars. I could not find an original on which karges based this fugato episode, so I assume he composed it himself. The result is a composition with the character of a small prelude and fugue. As with all Karges compositions and adaptations, it has the ideal length for use in service.

The recording was done with the Hauptwerk software and the sampleset, made by Sonus Paradisi, of the Hinsz organ in the Reformed church in the Midwolda (http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/en/organs/netherlands/midwolda-surround-sample-set.html).

It looks like this post contains a link that does not use a secure protocol: http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/en/organs/netherlands/midwolda-surround-sample-set.html.
HTTP is in use instead of HTTPS and no protocol redirection is in place.
