A DREAM AT CHILDHOOD

Every child once had a dream but unfortunately, some couldn't go in that line due to many factors which life has faced them with. In one of the books I am reading, I was made to know that every accomplishment, starts with a dream and not just a dream but one backed with desire and faith. These are the two ingredients that made every dreamer successful in what they do.

But here we are talking about the dream we had when we were small. Of course, not everyone would get to fulfil their dreams even though we all wished we could be what we wanted to be.

One of my dreams was to become a banker because I saw how one of my aunts used to dress up in her suits and trousers to go to the bank very early in the morning. I believed then that bankers are always rich and so, I wanted to become rich by being a banker, but life came through in another dimension.

I remembered helping someone handle a class during holiday coaching when I just finished primary school, the teaching job enthralled me so I decided to become a teacher. For what reason?

I want to impact knowledge. I saw how adults would always appreciate their teachers and talk about how they have come to meet their teachers even after finishing school, and once their path meets again, they would be happy introducing themselves as the students that were taught by them which would make the teachers proud of them too.

I have heard a story of a young boy who gave a speech mentioning one of his teachers who taught him in school and how the teacher imparted knowledge to him and the woman (teacher) was proud and felt like crying when she was being mentioned and honoured.

I want this too... I said to myself
I want children I taught to appraise and honour me too when they grow up and become successful.

Ever since then, all other dreams disappeared while I began working towards being a teacher.

I was given admission into the college of education and after then, my journey into my dream career came through. I taught a few children with my certificate and also did home lessons for many pupils. I taught at different schools before gaining admission for my degree studies.

I heard different testimonies from parents, saying I helped their children understand things they couldn't and I was happy to hear such testimony.

Today, my dream of becoming a teacher is still in my mind and I want to keep imparting knowledge and help to mould the lives of children especially the young ones who are just beginning to know about life. Their brains would still be fresh and knowing some things would be amazing to them.

I know my dream of continuing my teaching job continues especially when I would be called up for my NYSC and would be posted to a school. I promise to give my best and help these children become better by me trying my best too.

Thanks for reading

Wow! What a dream and Vision at the same time. To impact the lives of kids is such a beautiful thing to think of. Parents would be happy even the kids too and definitely they'll always live to remember that one loving teacher who made way for them to be successful.

Yes, that is my dream too. To impact into a child and see me in future to say "you taught me well" how beautiful would it be then.

@princessbusayo, the Banker! Hahah. I just wish you were working in one of those banks in Nigeria so that you will be sending free credit alert to us 😂. Lol.

I was also on the verge of becoming a Banker. I studied the course and even served in a bank during NYSC, but here we are. Haha. The job doesn't suit my style and passion.

I'm glad you are threading on a path that is in line with what you are passionate about.

Thanks for sharing this on DreemPort

Free credit ko 🤣🤣🤣 While growing up, I understand how tedious the job can be, especially seeing how my Aunt would always come home late after leaving home early that she couldn't have time for her children. She later resigned saying she needs to give attention to her kids when it was already becoming a thing that the kids weren't bothered seeing her as their mom.

My dear, no be small thing ooooo. When I was posted to serve in a bank, haha... It was like getting a heavenly appointment.

I just worked in the bank for two months because Covid19 affected our activities during my service, but that two months experience was unbelievably tedious. Haha.

May God be blessing our Bankers with enough lucozade Boost. Haha. Those people dey suffer.

Teachers are golden. That is one profession I love so much but unfortunately they do not get paid well. I have taught before and if the opportunity comes again, I'll gladly take it. Keep being awesome. I know you'll make a great teacher in the future.

Reading this content made me remember those debates we use have back in primary school. "Doctors are better than Teachers" 😂 You hardly see kids that will want to support the motion that Teachers are best, we use to believe the opponent will win. Permit me to say teacher are so underated. But indeed Teachers are Golden!

Cheers to all teachers in the World 🥂 You'll are the best🥇.

Thank you so much @princessbusayo for sharing this with us and thanks for having the young ones at heart.

Cheers 🥂

Yes, teachers are underated but we can't ignore the truth that they are the best because they did the job of turning everyone to be who they are. Thank you for your comment.
