DREEMPORT CHALLENGE: TWO DAYS TRIP IN LAGOS

I needed two people to go on a two days trip to Lagos after receiving a huge amount of $500 from @dreemsteem for the #dreemdestination and #dreemportchallenge

I quickly called @maryjacy because she wasn't too far from my place. I called @olawalium too to ask if he would be interested for this trip which he exclaimed and said he was ready. I needed a guy with us though so I went for him. We spoke and agreed on where to meet in Lagos.

I and MaryJacy boarded a bus out of my own money to Lagos because I want us to spend the money together 😁 and we got to Berger bus-stop, I called Olawalium to inform him we were already there. He promised to be there in twenty minutes. I and Mary had to stay at a place to wait for him. We are already starting our trip so we have to wait for Ola to arrive. Sooner than we expected, he alighted from the bike.

So, where are we heading to? He asked

We are on a two days trip, so firstly, we would have to go to the Freedom Park Lagos. Olawalium immediately took out his phone and ordered for an UBER to take us there.

In less than five minutes, we saw an Uber which we negotiated that he would take us and bring us back to our destination. He collected $100 and we started the Journey.

After thirty minutes, we got to Freedom Park Lagos

Mary got out of the car and was like "No wonder it is called Freedom Park" Look at everywhere. See the outer part. Wait! We haven't entered inside oo What if we eventually step our feet in, what would happen? I wouldn't want to leave this place again. Is there a lounge here? This was Mary talking and wasn't ready to shut up when Olawalium interrupted her and said "Ladies, can we go in and stop being local" 😅😅😅 Ofcourse he didn't lie. We are from Ondo state, a typical local place to be...🤣🤣

We got to the entrance and the security man directed us to where we would be paying the entrance fee before proceeding on our tour. We paid $2 each for the three of us and we were allowed in.

We saw the fountain of water first.

Freedom Park is an arts and recreation centre located on what used to be a colonial prison in Lagos. The park is located smack in the middle of downtown Lagos so it feels a little odd yet nice to walk into the calm place right in the centre of busy Lagos Island.

I couldn't take my eyes off the water as they kept running and gushing out. It was so clean. MaryJacy and I started sprinkling the water on my our bodies. At first, Olawalium was acting like a rich man's son and was looking at us. We splashed some water onto him and he felt the vibe and joined us too. It was really fun. After spending some minutes there, we left the place and went to another place.

We saw one of the statuses at Freedom Park Lagos and we were so entertained staring at it as if we haven't seen one before. Since I love taking pictures, I told Ola to snap I and MaryJacy and we took over thirty pictures together with the statue posing different styles we know as ladies.

Ola was interested too and wanted to have pictures with us as a memory. No one was passing by then, he placed his camera to self timer and timed it to 5 minutes. We placed the phone beside the statue and clicked the start. We stood together and took different pictures. He also did some selfies too. It was really much fun there also.

At that moment, we were hungry and I could see Olawalium's face changed already.

Ola, don't tell me you are hungry? Look at your face! I laughed so hard mocking him and he screamed "I am hungryyyyy"

Mary also didn't dull herself. Princess, I am really farmished. Let's find somewhere to eat please.

We left the statue and after we walked for ten seconds, we saw another place called "THE GALLERY"

Oh, thank God we can now eat. Olawalium said

I smiled and said yes, we can.

We sat down and ordered for three plates of food.

We enjoyed the meals, we cheered to more fun moment together. Though the food was so expensive, at least it was worth it. We spent $90 altogether. After eating, we decided to return home and continue the trip the next day.

I was still finding the nearest hotel to lodge in when Olawalium offered us his home. He said he stays in three bedroom apartment and I and Mary can use one of the rooms.

At least he said, we would get to see his family and I have been wanting to see his beautiful baby (Dara) and his lovely wife.

We thanked him and the Uber driver took us to his home. We told the driver to come pick us up again the next day which he promised us.

Early the next day, the driver arrived and we took off again. Now, we went to LEKKI CONSERVATIVE CENTRE We paid $100 for the three of us for the tour to everywhere.

We got to the longest canopy walkway in Africa where we met other group of people too.

They were so happy and we also joined them through the walkway and we took some pictures with them. Wait! Don't tell me you are zooming the pictures to find us? 😝😝 Check very well, you will see us especially @maryjacy because she is in the front 🤣🤣 That's Olawalium at the back, he is the tallest among us 😄😄

We saw different animals like the snakes, crocodiles, monkeys, tortoise etc

Olawalium started playing with the monkeys and they were jumping up and down everywhere. Mary held on to her snacks in her hand because the Monkeys could grab them from her hand. She wasn't ready to share her delicious snacks with monkeys. Lol

We moved forward and saw the beautiful peacock

By the time we finished exploring everywhere plus nature, we already used 5 hours. We then turned back to find something to eat. We went inside the restaurant and ate some foods and wines before leaving.

We decided to go home and we ordered the Uber driver to take us home. He actually dropped us at Berger and we took bus going to Ondo while Olawalium went to his house. It was such a wonderful trip together with my friends.
