Finding Balance in Life's Chaos

Life is too short to start getting bothered or worked up with lots of things, especially ones out of your control. I always get this phrase from people, and whenever I think about that, I would calm down as I take things slowly. Also, remembering that every human being has just one life to live and there is no duplicate, I try not to go overboard with myself but to go slowly while understanding that even taking a step is progress.

A lot of us are so worried about lots of things, activities to carry out, meetings to attend, vacations to plan, kids to take care of, jobs to hunt, projects to embark on, and food to prepare. Life comes with lots of problems and when we solve one, it leads to the creation of another.

Just imagine an individual who is bent on losing weight, he or she knows the solution is to go to the gym and start practising, upon knowing this, a new problem comes in: how do I start going to the gym? What time should I wake up to meet up with the gym instructor? You see, life comes with endless problems; we cannot solve everything at once, but our happiness is shown when we keep solving each problem that comes our way.

For someone like me, I don't give myself trouble anymore. Those days of worrying unnecessarily and trying to force things on myself are gone because thinking of life itself and knowing that any time, one could give up the ghost is something to give you a reason not to take life seriously but to live the best of it by doing what you know how to do.

I love and cherish my life to the extent that I do not overwork myself, I give myself the needed rest, go back to my work when I have rested, and finish when I need to without forcing myself.

My lifestyle is a simple one: I wake up as early as 5 or 6 am depending on my mood, take my phone to read and study the morning devotion, have some minutes to do simple exercises, like stretching my arms, yawning, smiling through the window, then take my bath and get prepared for work. As some of you know, I am a teacher who is serving her country and I try to prioritise my activities for the day so that none will disturb the other. Aside from being a teacher, I am a blogger on Hive and I make sure to do what is needed to do at the right time.

Every day, I know what activities to do and my plans are always attended to accordingly. Most of my activities are reading my devotion which I do every morning, reading a chapter or two of a novel being downloaded on my phone, reading 2 or more chapters of the Bible depending on what I have for the day, writing a post, engage, teach the senior class I am assigned to, rest, watch movies and that's the end of everything.

With all of these, there is a time allocated for each and I make sure to follow them accordingly until I am done. Sometimes, I have time left which would make me watch movies on Netflix and sometimes, check the internet for new things to learn. I have learnt the art of time management that it has helped me strike a balance in my life.

I do not take rest for granted as it is what keeps me active and energised for the next task. Sometimes, life can bring you many things which you wouldn't want to stop until you have solved them, in my case, once I see how draining it is becoming, I shut down my system and sleep hoping to wake up and continue with it.

The habit of taking things slowly has helped me enjoy my life and work which to me is a way to make a balance in such a way that at the end of the day, I feel fulfilled. Lastly, my worries aren't a burden to me as I have learnt to cast all of them onto my maker who can take care of me.

You do a lot of tasks in a single day and I am sure finding a balance in the beginning time was not easy for you. If we can't find a balance then stress, and frustration come easily, and performing in daily life becomes difficult. It's good that you can do everything in an organized way.

This is a some way to live our lives and find balance. We shouldn't be over everything and get no result in the end.
For me, I'd prefer to take up one task at a time. Like you mentioned, life is too short for all the troubles we put ourselves through.....

Yes oo. Take up one task at a time without rushing. We will definitely get there if we take one step at a time.

Hahaha. Well, I think it is. Yawn and free that mouth that has been closed for hours or do you sleep and open your mouth? 😅😅

The way you told the whole thing about life is truly inspiring! glad to see how you've embraced the idea of taking things slowly and prioritizing self-care, also maintaining a balanced lifestyle. Though what kind of advice would you give to someone struggling to find this equilibrium between work, relaxation, and personal fulfillment?

You see, there is need to take things one step at a time. Learn to attend to what matters most, then go slowly without rushing. Give time for self care including rest and never go overboard trying to achieve success. Life is sweet when you are alive to enjoy what you have worked hard for.
