PSQUARE FOR THREE TUNE TUESDAY WEEK 63

Last week, I had already started thinking of songs to recommend here for #threetunetuesday or #ttt organized by @ablaze, and while we were having our morning devotion with my Aunt, I couldn't stop thinking of Psquare's old songs as it took me back to memory lane. I decided I would bring three of their songs here and I believe many Nigerians would know these guys.

Psquare are identical twins named Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye and are Nigerian duo artists whose love for hip-hop songs is so crafted and beautifully sang. They captured my heart more then as a young girl. Many times, when there was any event around our house, I would be there because I know their songs would be played because they were so popular and everyone liked them.

Their old songs were inspiring and interesting and I would find myself singing almost all of them. At that time, there was no song from them that I can't sing to, from the beginning to the end, and I would start whining my waist and enjoying the moment. I even bought a disc containing all their songs and then, the DVD player was popular.

Yes, I could remember we were the first person to own a DVD player in the compound, and every child would always come around to listen to music or watch movies. Then, I was the boss and would control everyone. Whoever makes noise, would be sent out by me😂😂 The children always obeyed me when I instruct them just because they do not want to be sent out since we are the only one that has a DVD player. Lol

Let's now move to my songs recommendations for today.

“Do me”

I don't know why my love for this song then took the air. Anywhere they sing this song, I will make sure I whined my waist and dance to it. This song was released in 2007 and I could remember I was thirteen (13) years old then. This song was my best of all by the Nigerian Duo (Psquare). The rhythm, beat and lyrics were so perfect and I would tell you, these were songs that made us happy as kids. We forget about eating when this song is played and I was always ready to bring those dancing steps out. It was just fun.

“Omoge Mi”

This is another hit by them and an emotional song. The artist was betrayed by his girlfriend when she was dating his best friend. It was a heartbreak for him because he confessed his love to her and thought they would be together, but he felt cheated by his girl and best friend who he ever trusted.

He asked a question “What will you do if you found out your girl was dating your own best friend?”

This was sad and he expressed his emotion by singing this song.

So, cheating has started a long time ago, and it isn't a new thing if we are hearing about them now. Though the levels it has taken are different today. You see many people committing suicides because they were betrayed. Life wasn't that bad then. At least everyone moved on and that was it.

“No one like you”

Seriously, I am glad to recommend this old songs to you, because these were just too good old songs I ever enjoyed as a child.

No one like you is about one of them professing his love to his ”wife to be” before going up to the aisle to say “Yes, I do”. This was a beautiful love song that touched my heart more and whenever I sing this song, it was as if I was a guy confessing my love to my girl before the pastor unite us together.

There are still more songs I would love to bring, but not until next Tuesday, as I already exceeded the number of songs to recommend for each week.

Until next time, I want you to play along and enjoy the flow of these sweet songs.

These are YouTube's properties and I am only sharing them on the Hive Blockchain for entertainment.

Thanks for reading

Hello hello, great to have you with us again this week and sharing tunes from your own country which is brilliant, as I have never heard of them and absolutely love getting introduced to new tunes. Do Me is a real banger!!
