THE SITUATION OF THE RAINY SEASON
Last week, I washed a few clothes outside and the rain started disturbing me. It would drizzle a bit, I would take my clothes inside, it would stop after a while, and I will take them back to spread. Before I even sit down to do other things, someone will call and say “It's drizzling oo”, I will rush outside and pack my clothes. I even smiled and said “Well, it's your season and I won't complain. Do whatever you want to do while I endure” 😂😂
There is time and season for everything in life and it's that season for rain. It's raining everywhere and if I am not wrong, this would stop in October or so but I can't wait. If I were to choose the best season or weather, it would be the rainy season, but there would be a time it will greatly disrupt people's activities.
When it's the rainy season, you have to be mindful of how many clothes you wash outside especially when you stay in a house with many occupants. You wouldn't want to find the whole wire filled with clothes and you are wondering where the hell would you spread your clothes. I hate to pack wet clothes inside because I am always tired of taking in and taking out clothes for them to get dried.
I love it when it rains and I am indoors but I am not trying to blame other people who would want to go out to work even in the rain. Last week, I went to the market and I felt for the traders. At least they would survive and no matter what happens, they would still display their wares when the rain is busy doing its own.
I prefer the rainy season which comes with cold to the sunny season which comes with hotness. I can't stand sweating and feeling the heat all over me. Some people would even be taking hot water to bath, not me. I use cold water no matter how cold the weather is except if I am sick, that is the only time I use hot water.
My family and friends thought I am another different being from another world because even in the cold, I still sleep naked and without wrapping my body. I love to feel cold and shiver or shake than feel heat and uneasiness around me. I can't remember the last time I used my sweater because I don't like it even in harmattan.
One disadvantage of this rainy season for me is that it always disrupts my movement whenever I'm going out. I don't like stepping on muddy grounds. This is why I love being indoors doing my thing than being outside and trying to find ways how to get home.
Another disadvantage is that it makes my hands stiff and wouldn't be able to press my phone unless I wash and apply ointment or cream to make me fast in typing. This is one reason I don't stay active online much as I wouldn't enjoy the moment.
During this season, I wash my clothes every day instead of my normal once in a week routine because I can't stand taking wet clothes inside without allowing the sun to take its course on them.
Though I love the rainy season because I wouldn't be searching everywhere for water to use because our well would always be filled with water and no more waking up at 5 am to draw water from the well first. When it's dry season, it would be like hell. So, the rainy season is always a big opportunity for me.
Also, in my city, the rainy season is always bad and risky for motorists because there is a particular area not far from my place. When it rains, the whole road would be flooded and it means no going out for those passing through such area to their workplace. There was an incident sometimes when the flood carried some people away and their bodies were found later.
I heard of an incident last week where it rained and entered an apartment. The rain washed away two students' certificates. I mean all. A 200 level and 400 level students. Where do they start from? Especially the final year student? This is why the rainy season is not that good even though it is very good for farmers who need rain on their produce.
I pity the conditions of some people in Lagos especially, the Lekki side who have been flooded by the rain. I even saw a status where the flood was carrying a car with some people in it. I just couldn't withstand that situation they would be in. Where do they know the flood will push them to? What if it's a big lagoon? 😭😭
Its the rainy season, and though it's good, we do not wish for it to disturb or take people's lives.

My sister, no be small thing ooo, this same thing happened to me last week and eventually, a friend advised me to spread them in my room, they would get dried there he said, but for some weird reasons, love the sun shining on my wet clothes, so I no hear word na and the rain self showed me shege.
😂😂That is the only way to go my sister. Having a rope tied in your room to spread your clothes till it dried but it's good if the sun touches it but at this moment, you don't have a choice.
At this season, the rain would so much disturb us.
Everything in life comes with a sacrifice... The problem comes in when the sacrifices are bigger than the benefits.... Can it be measured in this scenario?

I saw a picture of someone swimming in flood in Ikoyi and I kept wondering if it's real or Photoshopped 😆. The rain is getting too much, it rains every day over here in Benin and luckily for me, I can dry my clothes on the line outside our corridor. Don't even bother waiting for the sun, we haven't seen that one for some days now, it has always been cloudy

I don't think the one I saw was Photoshopped because people were really wailing and crying. I couldn't stop thinking about it.

At this moment, any event scheduled during the rain, it will only take God's grace to not let it rain. Lol

But this rain ehhnnn hmm.. Mehn it was terrible, people lost a lot of valuables and some their lives.

The rain has been really heavy this period and like you, I wash more than once a week now because the rain is so unpredictable now.

This rainy season is just fertile for hikes in prices of just about everything. Those in flood-prone areas are receiving the brunt of the rainy season. I wonder how long it will go on like this.

Yes, it makes everything go up and they use this season as an advantage not considering some levels of people. I hope it stops quickly because it's really affecting many people.

I love the rainy weather as well and knowing that some people are suffering for what we are enjoying reduces the excitement of the sweet weather for me.
I am this kind of warmer, I am always warm even though I feeling cold. I remember how I use to volunteer to help anyone feeling cold then in school, don't ask me how so I always need a cool weather to regulate my own temperature.
Hehehe! Seriously, what we are excited about this season, is making some cry and I just hope things go well with them too. I also love the weather to be cool.
Life is not balanced, life itself has proven this to us many times.

Rain is disturbing my mom more than anyone
Every time she wash clothes and hang out in balcony right after 5 minutes it starts raining and than i need to take those wet clothes back inside house and it Hurt's :(
I ain't like rainy season anymore coz of ruining my moms efforts :( she gets tired washing clothes again and again.
That is the problem about the season. Clothes do not get dried on time and it's so tiring packing in and out.

My favourite season is winter. After that my second favourite a season is rainy season. I mostly love to enjoy rainy season from my village because it's more enjoyable compared to enjoying it from town/city.
But at the same time I don't like rain occur all the time of everyday because I don't wanna stuck in house also.

After the raining season is over and you begin searching for house, you might b deceived and you end up renting in a water logged apartment.
And when rain starts again, you automatically v a swimming pool inside your apartment
My biggest issues with rain is that it is quite a stubborn barrier that inhibits activities from being carried out. And where it is most annoying is the issue with roads. When you’re traveling on a road that is no paved, the journey can be really hectic. There’ll just be mud everywhere.
And the issue of having to remove clothes from the line when they are not dry because of the rain, and then returning them again when the sun comes up is vey annoying.
Notwithstanding, I kind of prefer when The weather is all cool, rather the intense heat we get on most days.
Yes oo, there is advantages and disadvantages to every weather and we end up not feeling comfortable with the effects it brings. It's always stressful having to keep packing your clothes inside and outside. You cannot even sleep at that moment unless you just leave your clothes outside for rain to wet them again.
Human beings sha...we can never really be satisfied.

Those that are living in Lagos are really suffering. I watched a video where flood entered someone’s poultry and drowned all his chickens. I also watched a video where flood scattered a wedding ceremony. Very sad.
At this season, things done would be disturbing by it. It's such a pity but we have no choice.

I like the drizzle and rain when I'm at home resting but going out to work in the rain can be terrible. And I prefer the cold to the heat, but there's no way I'd be able to bathe with cold water, hehe.
