What is the most memorable gift you have ever got?

What do you do when you experience writer's block and you need to make a post on a platform you are? Do you want to know what I do? It's simple! I read books to get a word for my content. I listen to music for that particular statement that would catch my attention. I watch movies and I know definitely there's a catchy word or phrase for me. I also stay where people are having discussions and another thing I do which is common to everyone is reading articles online and you get something from it. This is what I did yesterday also.

I went through @iskafan's article yesterday where she talked about the gift she got from someone due to her good deed. She got a book which she had wanted to have the hard copy after reading the soft copy and it became a memorable one for her. Who wouldn't want to cherish such beautiful gift?

I also had my own gift someone gave me in the year August, 2018 and it has always been a memory for me even when it was taken away completely from me.

Someone gifted me a laptop which I have ever wanted and was saving because of it but later spent the money because I couldn't guess the month or year when I would save up to get the laptop.

I had to forget about getting a laptop and still prayed to God for a miracle until someone sent by God decided to bless me with one.

My Dad travelled to the U.S that year when he went on a visit to meet his friend who invited him over. When my Dad got there, and just wanted to spend two weeks there. That night, I was already sleeping alone in the house when my phone rang, and this woman called me. After the usual greeting and asking how my day went. She threw the question at me "Darling, what do you want me to send to you through your Dad?" I thought I didn't hear the question well and I said "ma?" She repeated the question in another way "what do you want me to get for you?"

Immediately, my mind went to the laptop and I explained to her how dying I needed a laptop and she said "Okay, I have a brand new one I don't use in my house. I will give it to your Dad".

I screamed and jumped off the chair I was sleeping on. It was a happy day for me that day and I slept peacefully on the bed. The next day, I started counting the days my Dad would returned back to Nigeria so I can get my laptop.

The day came and he arrived late at night. All I had in my mind was the laptop as I started unpacking everything he brought home not minding any other thing than the laptop. I brought it out and saw how cute it was.

I called the woman and thanked her for such great gift to me. Since then, I have cherished the laptop because of the story behind it and how it came through miracle from God.

I still believe I will definitely own a laptop before the year runs to an end because I can't wait to work on my system blogging. My sister already promised me one this month and when it arrives, I will definitely bring it here for you all to see it. 🤸🤸🤸
