2 роки тому, 5 жовтня 2021 року відбувся офіційний реліз "інноваційної" операційної системи Windows 11.
Не зважаючи на оновлений інтерфейс, який злизаний відомо звідки, та спрощені налаштування, за цей час вона так і не стала головною системою на комп'ютерах. На першому місці кріпко тримається "десятка", яка мала б бути останньою під "віконним" брендом. Та не судилось.
Звісно, за кілька років внаслідок продовження традиційної агресивної маркетингової стратегії та закриття підтримки Віндовс 10, впровадження все нових фішок пов'язаних зі штучним інтелектом Windows 11 все ж буде першою і доведеною до пуття.
І коштуватиме це користувачам нервів за їхні ж гроші. Ще й реклами надивляться та попрацюють тестувальниками у фоновому режимі.
Разом з тим Лінукс так і далі буде тримати свою спеціалізовано нішу та експериментувати й у цьому нема нічого поганого.

Despite the updated interface, which is known where it came from, and the simplified settings, over this time it has not become the main system on computers. Windows 10 firmly holds first place, which was supposed to be the last under the "windows" brand. But it was not fated.
Of course, over a few years, as a result of the continuation of the traditional aggressive marketing strategy and the closure of support for Windows 10, the introduction of all new AI-related Windows 11 features will still be the first and proven one.
And it will cost users their nerves for their own money. They will also be surprised and work as testers in the background.
At the same time, Linux will continue to hold its niche and experiment, and there is nothing wrong with that.
I've only tested Windows 11 as a virtual-machine, but the look & feel of it is better than Win 8 or 10 to me. Windows adoption always lags behind. It took forever for XP to lose the #1 spot.
I still have a machine running Windows 7, and I'm going to have to upgrade because Steam will stop working by force in a few months on Win 7 machines.
On my hardware, Win 11 won't even start ))
I remember a long time ago there was a project for a store website, a customer from Japan. There were a lot of funny stories, especially when you are a person who writes in Cyrillic and is faced with a situation where there are hieroglyphics. But the thing I remember most is that my development environment was Linux, and there were times when search worked fine in my local environment. That is, you threw hieroglyphics in there, and the search returned a result. But it didn't work for my colleague, because his environment was in Windows. As it turned out, he needed to install additional packages. So I had this dislike from back then, when you have UTF-8, and they have all these fucking Windows-*.
It is because of their terrible TPM 2.0 restrictions?
I'm pretty certain that none of my computers can run it either because none of them are new enough. But in VM, it worked.
I BELIEVE, that if you ever did have a need for Win11 you purchase a TPM 2.0 "card" of sorts that you simply plug into your motherboard.
От якби не обробка фотографій та любов до ігор, вже б давно зніс цю вінду, та сидів тільки на лінуксі.
З іграми ситуація якось рухається в першу чергу завдяки стіму. А от із фотообробкою ситуація стоїть на місці, хоча є пару потужних програм.
Так, деякі ігри можна пограти й не перезавантажуючись, так би мовити. І вже є й досить пристойні, як, наприклад одна з моїх улюблених Dying Light. А от з фото стільки всього перепробував у плані фото - "не то пальто". От нема чогось такого, до того ж всього я вже адобівськими продуктами не користуюся останнього часу - перейшов на Luminar Neo. І от саме так таких продуктів не вистачає. Типу цього ж люмінара, чи фотошопа, чи лайтрума. От там все дуже класно, воно все платне, але там дійсно розумієш за що платиш.
А, ще є під лінукс є Red Dead Redemption 2 (про першу не знаю), Bioshock, Deus Ex, Metro, XCOM, Mad Max, Borderland, Відьмак, Сталкер, ну і халфа з контрою. Плюс такі мною улюблені як Factorio, чи то Graveyard Keeper. Ну тобто є за чим час звікувати.
Але от зараз граю у Phoenix Point, то там приходиться "перелазити". 😐
