THE SCHOOL IS WHAT BUILDS OUR FUTURE

Katerina Holmes -pexels
The competition between private school students and the government school students in my country is always a good topic to write about for an argumentative essay but still, we know which amongst them is the best bit they both have their respective benefits.
If you are wondering what a private and a public (government) school is then i will give you a brief explanation.

THE PUBLIC/GOVERNMENT SCHOOL

This is a school that is fully operated by the government of your country, the school came into existence out of the governments own budget to help the countries growth academically.
All teachers are paid directly by the government and the rate at which a public servant and a civil or government worker pays the tuition fee differs.

A civil servant pays a lesser amount of fee for their children boarding in a government school, this is because the money moves around in circles, the parents get paid monthly salaries by the government as a government worker and that same money is returning back to the government as they pay their children's school fees.
Although the government school is classified into two which is the public school and day school.

THE PRIVATE SCHOOL

The private school is an individual owned institution that is not controllable by the government as it is a one man's business who decided to build up a school, employ good teachers and the teachers get paid with the tuition fees that were paid by the students.

Boarding in a private school can be quiet expensive because the owner of the school needs money for both the school maintenances and also paying the hired teachers plus meeting the governments tax so you are actually paying a lot higher for your childs school fee due to all these criteria.

WHICH OF THIS SCHOOLS IS BEST?

The question is always, "where should i board my kids?" By the parents always trying to figure out what school is best. Fortunately all schools have their advantages and likewise but which of them has more advantage and less disadvantage over the other?.

The public schools are always believed to be of a low performing grade and poor school maintenances compared to a private school, the student of a public and a private school could easily be pointed out by mare looking at the way they dress, their school uniforms, the way they organize and all that.

It is believed that there is no discipline in the public schools compared to private schools and of course a private school owner would always do everything possible to make sure that hos school stands out and attract as much parents as it could to board their kids after all making money is the most table for the owner of the school. This is why most parents smuggle their kids into private schools and look away from the government schools.

I was in a military school sometimes referred to as a day school from my day one which is class 1(primary 1) down to class 12(SS3). Day schools are government owned schools but are highly government staffs employed. The day school is directly controlled by the military personnels, most of my teachers were soldiers. My parents were very comfortable with the school because of their high level of discipline and excellent school grade performance with good teachers compared to other government schools like the public school.

The day school to me is a high recommendation for a stubborn child like i was haha.. because you will swallow your stubbornness and give your life to christ by the time a soldier deals mercilessly with you. My day school experience was a notch one and the school was more like a battle field, the whole action and experience we got in the school is what gave us the impression to become soldiers.

On this note, I think the government is really not looking into their public schools to enhance the academic performances because the private schools are doing far better both in the learning aspect and academic performances by the student.
Firstly, you as the parent need to know where your child can have the best educational experience because this is the foundation if their future, build it well by giving them the best form of education.

This is why most wealthy politicians in my country would fly their kids abroad because the school is what builds their life. I really appreciate your time ony blog, you can as well tell me what you feel about the government public schools and a private owned school in the comments.

The public schools are always believed to be of a low performing grade

I don't think it was true. I was in public school throughout my HS days and realized that a person's performance doesn't depend on their school. Before transferring to the public, I was in a private school first. My grades performed well in the private section, and I always got in the top spot (top 4, 5, 6, 7 etc.). But in the fifth grade, my mother sent me to a public school, and I surprisingly get the first spot. Because of that, I was moved to the star section and got stunned because there were many intelligent people compared to the private school where I enrolled. Therefore, I conclude the performance of some doesn't depend on your school. It depends on your capability. I performed well in high school, but the only problem I experienced was their dirty comfort room and gangster classmates. I remember that I often get the first spot although I failed to maintain it. And now, I'm studying at a private university and assumed that I'm performing well. I was initially disappointed by not getting into my desired course and university, but I believe things happen for a reason. Your future doesn't solely depend on the school you attend; your skills matter more. While your points are valid, this is just my opinion on the topic.

I think you made a reasonable point here but well, i wasn't standing against public schools because it varies from country to country. The school system in my country may be different from that of other countries. This article was precisely bringing out the points from my own view in my region and not a general conclusion.

All schools are best and indeed like you said, the capacity of the student is what matters. But school is a platform to learn and grow which is eventually boosting the capacity of a child.

I agree with your points.

I attended a private school up until university where I attended a public federal school. And the experience was definitely different and quite unlike anything I had ever encountered before. The high population and competition among students was new to me. It did take a bit of time before I adapted fully but I'm grateful for the experience.

I wonder what it must have been like for you, having soldiers as teachers in the class. I would have been terrified to come school everyday😅

Nice writing🌹
