Hello Hive Gamers! Today I bring you the 31st chapter of my hardcore Townsmen run. In this session, I focused entirely on supercharging the village economy by upgrading key infrastructure. To further boost my already well-established textile production, I decided to upgrade several tailor shops and looms to level 2. It is important to note that upgrading a building is no small feat; while it provides an immediate efficiency boost, the cost in raw materials is steep. Furthermore, maintenance and subsequent repairs become significantly more expensive, as they now demand specialized materials rather than just basic lumber.

In this order of ideas, I also decided to improve one of my taverns. The capacity for townnies was becoming extremely limited compared to my rapidly growing population, and I needed to ensure my citizens remained satisfied. Following that, I constructed a treasury to finally automate tax collection. I am planning to build more and better treasuries across the city; this way, I will have a network of tax collectors patrolling the streets, focused on fiscal revenue, without me having to manually collect taxes from every single building. It was becoming a very tedious task, especially now that the village is expanding in both size and population.

Finally, I built additional housing units to accommodate the influx of new residents and constructed another tool workshop to keep up with the demand. By streamlining my manufacturing capabilities, I am ensuring that we never run out of the equipment needed for further construction. These strategic investments are essential to maintaining the pace of development I’ve set for this run.

Consequently, with these new buildings and upgrades in place, the village is set to unlock even greater manufacturing potential and fiscal revenue. It feels like the settlement is finally transitioning from a struggling pioneer camp to a robust, self-sustaining city. I am excited to see how this increased income will allow me to fund the next massive expansion project.

Nevertheless, I must remain vigilant. Managing a larger, more complex economy brings new challenges, especially regarding resource management and repair costs. I will need to keep a close eye on my reserves to ensure that these advanced buildings don't drain my coffers faster than they can fill them. We are on the right path, but the growth must be sustainable.

En esta ocasión, estuve enfocado en mejorar la economía de la aldea a través de la optimización de ciertos edificios clave. Para potenciar la ya bien cimentada producción textil, decidí mejorar a nivel 2 algunas sastrerías y telares. Subir de nivel un edificio no es poca cosa; es una mejora inmediata pero muy cara en cuanto a materiales. Además, las reparaciones posteriores son más costosas, ya que no piden solo maderos, sino que ahora también requieren otros materiales más complejos.

En este orden de ideas, mejoré también una taberna, ya que la capacidad para los townnies estaba muy limitada en comparación con mi nivel de población actual. Posteriormente, construí una tesorería para recaudar impuestos. Planeo construir más y mejores tesorerías porque así tendré una red de recaudadores transitando la ciudad, enfocados en la recaudación fiscal sin tener que recolectar los impuestos a mano. Esta es una tarea algo pesada, siendo que la aldea ya está creciendo mucho en tamaño y habitantes.

Por último, construí más casas y otro taller de fabricación de herramientas para cubrir la demanda de equipo de mis trabajadores. Al tener más herramientas disponibles, mis procesos de construcción y mantenimiento se vuelven mucho más ágiles. Estas adiciones son fundamentales para el flujo de trabajo constante que requiere una partida hardcore.

Consecuentemente, con estas construcciones y mejoras, la aldea cobrará un potencial de manufactura y recaudación fiscal aún mayor. Es gratificante ver cómo, poco a poco, la infraestructura comienza a trabajar de forma autónoma. Siento que la aldea está alcanzando un punto de madurez económica que me permitirá financiar cualquier desafío que se me presente en el futuro cercano.

Sin embargo, debo mantener la cautela. Gestionar una economía más grande y compleja implica nuevos riesgos, especialmente en lo que respecta a la gestión de materiales y costos de reparación. Tendré que vigilar de cerca mis reservas para asegurar que estos edificios avanzados no vacíen mis arcas más rápido de lo que pueden llenarlas. Vamos por buen camino, pero el crecimiento debe ser siempre sostenible.
