Hello Hive Gamers! Today I bring you the 34th chapter of my hardcore Townsmen run. I have spent the entire session continuing to defend the village from the relentless bandit onslaught. We had been containing the enemy relatively well until now, but the situation turned dire when they launched a massive, coordinated attack against the southern sector of the village. They seemed determined to burn every single structure to the ground.

Fortunately, the city guard was ready and managed to kick the invaders out of the village quite rapidly. Nevertheless, it was a close call, and several buildings unfortunately caught fire during the heat of the battle. Most notably, one of my main warehouses and a residential house were engulfed in flames. Thankfully, I had enough men available at the fire stations to react immediately and extinguish the fires before the damage became irreparable.

In addition to the fires, the fighting has been incredibly fierce and constant throughout the streets of the village. It is not necessarily a bad thing, however; keeping the combat localized in the streets allows my guards to keep the bandits busy while maintaining total control over the perimeter. The density of the city layout is actually working in my favor to funnel the enemy units into choke points.

Consequently, I am feeling more confident about our defensive capabilities. Even though the constant combat is wearing down my guards, their effectiveness in close-quarters street warfare has been impressive. I am making sure to rotate my soldiers so that they can recover their strength while keeping the pressure on the bandits at all times.

Nevertheless, I remain cautious. I know that as long as these bandits are roaming the map, I cannot let my guard down for even a second. I am currently assessing the structural damage and preparing to repair the scorched buildings as soon as the area is fully secured. We are holding the line, and we will continue to fight until the very last bandit is driven from our lands.

Estábamos conteniendo a los atacantes relativamente bien, pero en esta oportunidad lanzaron un ataque en gran número contra los edificios ubicados al sur, intentando prenderle fuego absolutamente a todo.

Afortunadamente, la guardia de la ciudad reaccionó con determinación y los expulsó a patadas rápidamente. Sin embargo, varios edificios sí terminaron envueltos en llamas durante el enfrentamiento, especialmente un almacén y una casa residencial. Menos mal que tenía suficientes hombres disponibles para que se encargaran de apagar los incendios antes de que la situación se saliera de control.

Del resto, la lucha ha sido muy fuerte y constante en las calles de la aldea, lo cual no es necesariamente malo. Al mantener el combate confinado en las calles, mi guardia logra mantener ocupados a los bandidos, conteniéndolos en puntos específicos donde tengo la ventaja táctica. Esta dinámica de "guerra callejera" ha permitido que el daño a la infraestructura productiva sea mínimo.

Consecuentemente, me siento mucho más seguro de nuestra capacidad defensiva. Aunque el combate constante desgasta a mis guardias, su efectividad en la lucha cuerpo a cuerpo dentro del casco urbano ha sido impresionante. Me estoy asegurando de rotar a mis soldados para que recuperen fuerzas sin perder el control sobre los puntos de acceso de los bandidos.

Sin embargo, mantengo la cautela. Sé que mientras estos bandidos sigan acechando en el mapa, no puedo bajar la guardia ni un segundo. Actualmente estoy evaluando los daños estructurales y preparando la reparación de los edificios chamuscados tan pronto como el área esté totalmente asegurada. Estamos manteniendo la línea, y seguiremos luchando hasta que el último bandido sea expulsado de nuestras tierras.
