Trek to the Abode of God!

(Edited)

Hey, this is Pulkit your friend back with another story from my travel diary

I am a Traveller and I love mountains my craze for mountains is like that I see mountains in my dreams.
I always have a dream that I will make a small house in the mountains.

A few months ago I and my friends went to the mountains for trekking.
That was the most beautiful and the best trek I ever did.

Views of Himlayas enroute to Temple

The track leads to the Abode of God through a dense forest, valleys, and snow-capped mountains.

The name is Madhmaheshwar, which is in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, at an Elevation of 3497 meters.
The Temple is Surrounded by Chaukhambha Peaks, Kedarnath Peaks, and Neelkanth Peaks of the Himalayas.

The Temple

How to reach
You can Get a bus from Delhi to Rishikesh and then a bus to Ukhimath or you can also book a private cab from Rishikesh to Ukhimath and then another cab from Ukhimath to Ransi, which is the last motorable point.

Chaukhamba Peaks from Ransi

The distance between Delhi to Ransi is approx 470 km.

Enroute Ukhimath

We took a dip in The river Mandakini which is a tributary of the Ganges. The water was bone-chilling.

There is a place called Devprayag where two tributaries of the Ganges Bhagirathi and Alakhnanda meet and make it The Holy Ganges.

The trek from. Ransi to Madhmaheshwar is 18 km long.
The first 6 km was very easy, even a 10-year-old can do that, but the next 12 km will make you realize that you need to work out and walk a lot to get fit.

The views throughout the route were so relaxing and mesmerizing that you will feel that let's build a house and stay here forever.

The Trek

There are 2-3 homestays en route your path so if you wanna stay, eat or take a rest, you can do that.

Flowers Outside the Homestay

We started our trek at 7:30 in the morning and covered 8 km in one and half hours.

After resting for 10mins we resumed our journey, and the route got steep.

At the start of this trek, we were 5 moving together but after the rest, all five moved separately.

I was accompanied by a dog for around 5kms.
There was no one around me, only me with myself moving, enjoying the weather and views.

At 2:30 I reached my destination and it was like Heaven.
A big Meadow, surrounded by mountains, forest, the view of snow-capped mountains and The Temple

As I reached there the clouds covered the whole meadow and it started raining.
In the evening we went to the temple and seek the blessing of the almighty.

The place was so astonishing and had some magic in it, that it was the Abode of God.

The next morning we left for our home, but my mind and soul is still there.

I'll visit it again. The true definition of Ultimate Uttrakhand, an Incredible India
Namaste🙏

that's a great view of Chaukhamba Peaks. I think it's good idea to build something like gondola lift and make it as an tourism object to attract people to visit Chaukhamba.

Great post, thanks for sharing
