Better late than never

Every year we receive a small present from our employer just before x-mas.
Some years ago, the employer made the decision on what to give away by himself.
I remember some presents which were ... well, what's a good word ... let's say "different" from what you would expect.

Years ago it was a small hand vacuum cleaner in the shape of a ball called ORB-IT from BLACK & DECKER.

Why did we receive this hand vacuum cleaner? Because we had hundreds of them in our warehouse and nobody wanted them.
Guess what happened that afternoon in the office ... people started playing football with their gifts.
Not really respectful IMHO.

Another year we received a plate full with different sorts of cheese

These were given to us with another 5 hours of working-time to go. Can you imagine the odor in the office?
So people started to bring the plates to their cars. Even though it was winter it was a sunny day. The temperature inside the cars was not very low ... now imagine the odor in the cars when we were heading home!

Gift cards are the solution!

The last years we received gift cards. Gift cards for a shop where you can buy all sorts of things and everybody can pick what fits best.

This year I was late

Just last week I decided to order my x-mas present. I scrolled through hundreds of products and finally found my best fit.

A Dutch Premium Blend Whisky

I have never heard about a Dutch Whisky before.
So we gave it a shot.

The label says:

With eight Dutch whiskies 10/2019 - batch 4.
Beek guarantees the best quality.
No additives, not colored.

And I can tell you this whisky is awesome.

It has a mild taste even with 43% vol. alc.
You can feel when the sip goes down to your stomach but the taste is really good.
If you see it, buy it ;)

So now that it is almost Easter time I'm enjoying my x-mas gift :)

There was also a #corona impact on this delivery:
After ordering I received a mail that my parcel will be delivered the next day between 15:45 and 17:45.
The next day that was changed to one day delay with the same timing due to the corona crises.
The next day that was changed to another day delay for the same reason.
The next day that was changed to "sometime the next 3 working days".
