To be able to achieve physical and mental fitness one must know the method and concept of yoga. Somewhere around the period of medhival era , a science to reduce mental stress , a path of peace and the method to heal as injury was originated in India. The science is known as yoga. The origin of yoga can be traced back to around 500BC. the word is mentioned in an ancient sacred text "Rig Veda".
Today i.e 21 June is celebrated as the international day of yoga. Although it has got significant attention from 2015 but Indians along with some people around the globe are practicing yoga from a long period of time. International day of Yoga is introduced to educate and spread awareness. Yoga should be practiced by each individual to maintain their physical and mental health. We live in a world which is full of chaos, pollution , noise . We lose our mental peace as we need to carry out different work assigned to us which is ofcourse important for our living. In such scenerio Yoga acts as a pain reliever to our body. We can call it a natural healer. Yoga increases the flexibility to the body and reduces the chances of cramps to the body.
I remember during my childhood, my father used to wake me up at 4 in the morning and advise me to follow the steps of yoga he is doing. I always wandered why is it so important? but as i grew up i came to about the reasons and importance. Peforming yoga streches your muscles and improves your blood circulation. Walking , sleeping can also be treated as yoga as these relaxes the mind. Swami Ramdev is one of such popular monk in India who have tramendous influence on YOGA.
