Materiales que dan vida a mi trabajo (Eng-Esp)

For anyone who has creating art as their job, buying tools and materials is one of the best feelings there is. Not only because you know that you will be able to continue creating, but also that you will have better things to do it with. I feel like a little girl with a new toy 🥰

I wanted to show you some things I was able to buy a while ago at the sewing supplies store. Things that I needed to renew and other things that time after time you have to look for because they run out.

For example, I didn't want to use my soap super chalk anymore, I really wanted to have a special chalk for marking fabric. So I bought this beautiful blue one in the shape of a triangle with a butterfly in the middle. Most beautifulb🦋

I also had to change my tape measure, because as it was all broken the poor 😅 thing was no longer marking the centimeters well and as we know this in sewing is super important. I loved this one because it marks the centimeters equally back and front.

I also bought my threads. I usually choose black and white because they are the colors I use the most. Then I just have to match them with the fabrics I buy. Since I discovered these threads I always look for them. They are of good quality and are sold at the fabric store.

I buy and use the cone thread because I prefer to sew with the big spool (I don't have to change it all the time), so I only have to fill the spool when it runs out.

And finally I bought those little floor loving and 100% missable 😆, pins. I like these because they are in cute colors and the sharp point works great for fabric.

And do you guys like to go shopping for craft supplies?

Para todo el que tiene crear arte como su trabajo comprar herramientas y materiales es de las mejores sensaciones que puede haber. No solo porque sabes que podrás seguir creando, sino también que tendrás mejores cosas para hacerlo. Yo me siento como una niña con juguete nuevo 🥰

Quería mostrarles algunas cositas que pude comprar hace un tiempito en la tienda de materiales para costura. Cosas que necesitaba renovar y otras que vez tras vez hay que buscar porque se acaban.

Por ejemplo, ya no quería usar mi supertiza de jabón, sino que realmente quería tener una tiza especial para marcar tela. Así que compré esta azul preciosa en forma de triángulo con una mariposa en el medio. De lo más bella 🦋

También debía cambiar mi cinta métrica, pues como estaba toda partida la pobre 😅, ya no marcaba bien los centímetros y como sabemos esto en la costura es superimportante. Esta me encantó porque marca los centímetros iguales atrás y adelante.

Asimismo compré mis hilos. Comúnmente elijo negro y blanco porque son los colores que más uso. Después solo tengo que combinarlos con las telas que compre. Desde que descubrí estos hilos los busco siempre. Son de buena calidad y los venden en la tienda de las telas.

Compro y uso el hilo de cono porque prefiero coser con el carrete grande (no tengo que cambiarlo siempre), así solo tengo que llenar la bobina cuando se termina.

Y finalmente compré esos pequeños amantes del piso y 100 % perdibles, alfileres 😆 Me gustan estos porque son de colores bien lindos y la punta afilada funciona muy bien para la tela.
