The Kids who Had Great Time at The Beach

When I was taking photos on a jetty in the beach in North Bali, a kid timidly approached me. "Hello, excuse me, can you take photo of us?" There were two boys with him and a girl walking toward the edge of the jetty.

I knew what they would do. They would jump from the jetty into the water. I guess they wanted to know how they looked when they were "flying in the air".

It felt that I was a real professional photographer and they were my first client. So, I would be more than willing to take their photos! "Okay, let's do it!" I replied.

The two boys lined up at the edge of the jetty. Then they stepped two steps backward and stopped. They looked at me to see if I was ready to take their photos. I held my camera steady with my hands in front of my chest. I set my Canon Powershot to take several photos continuously. Ready, I said.

And they ran toward the edge and jumped to the air, flew for few seconds, and landed on the water fast. I could hear the sound of the water splashing as they kids hit the water. The girl did not join the jump, but she was on the jetty watching. She was laughing. I could she her quite excited with what the boys did.

Few moments later, they came to me and asked to see their photos on my camera. I showed them their action photos on my camera. They laughed happily and said thanks to me.

I guessed I made their day that day. 😁
