Reading this topic over and over again and all I could think of was that particular event which I attended last two years as an invited guest but at the end of the day I turn out to be used as a food and drink server instead of being a guest lol...

Whenever I remember this particular event, I just can't help it and it results in me laughing out loud and that too on my own and in my space without any interference from other bodies...

How it happened and what happened is what I am going to tell you in the below paragraphs, it was a wedding party to be precise...

My sister's friend elder sister was getting married that year and my family was invited but our parents were to busy to show up and we the kids took it upon ourselves to represent the family at the wedding ...

This is the beginning of the whole fun and hilarious thing that happened that day...

  FROM AN INVITED GUEST TO A SERVER...

Two years ago was a year I will never forget in a hurry lol, i don't know why I can't remember the specific month and day but I remember vividly that it was two years ago...

My family and I were invited to a wedding party of a very close acquaintance and because it is a wedding we were shown some beautiful Ankara clothes of about 12-16 yards...

This is the clothe that was selected for the crowd and for that reason we had to buy to join in with the crowd...

My sister had a different clothing because she was amongst the brides maid and both my brother and I had to sow the chosen clothes ahead of the wedding day...

On the wedding day we had to work our ass off at home because of the relationship between us, we had to help with the cooking and arrangement of utensils in the vehicle and also setting some things up in the wedding venue...

We kept on working like it was my sister's wedding but the fact was that it was interesting watching another person get married...

We finished all the necessary works and it was time to head to the venue since the white wedding has been done in the church before our arrival, we had to arrange ourselves for the reception...

I had my bath and decided to go on mufti to the venue incase there is any other impromptu arrangement and most importantly I didn't want my attire to be rumpled before getting to the reception venue and probably when I get there I will change into my wedding attire to match the crowd, I got there looking like a worker and lo and behold we got there and saw my sister's immediate friend and his friends arranging some ice blocks in the drum to ice the drinks to be served at the reception. ..

I know all his friends and then I decided to join them after seeing my brother helping out, I decided to prolong dressing myself up to assist a bit more and that was when I decided to help them out not knowing they had ulterior motive behind it all heheh...

I started helping them and the next thing I saw was them leaving one after the other to go change in the changing room and all of a sudden I was left alone and the moment I saw them, they all were in their beautiful attires and that was when I planned to go change into my own outfit and the next thing I heard was to take charge of the drinks for a while that they will be back...

The silly me agreed to it and that was how I started guarding the drums filled with soft drinks and beers and in no time I got an order from the bigger men not to serve some certain drinks...

It kept on going like that until the reception started and food were been served and then drinks were being ask for by the guests, it was at this moment I started getting ordered around like a worker from the onset...

I kept on doing it until I became attached to it and now I saw it as my duty and nothing more, I took my work seriously and then I saw food servers needed a helping hand and I had to go there too and that was how I became a server at the wedding I was invited to as a guest...

I went inside to serve food and drinks only to find known faces staring at me and I spotted the ones who put me in charge under ac while I was outside serving and guarding drinks like a worker...

I had to polish my shoes for hours and kept in a box for the event, I ironed my attire for the event and folded it like I was the groom itself and all this were due nothing lol...

I did all this and at the end of the day I couldn't put on my attire for the event and I ended up working as a drink and food server until the reception was over...

In summary, I had to wear my wedding attire for the first time to the church on the first Sunday of a new year when others had worn their attire some weeks before me lol but still yet that doesn't change the fact that I worked as a sever instead of being treated as a guest...

The most painful aspect of the whole issue was that when all the workers including all the severs at the party were getting paid for their services, I wasn't added to the list of servers neither was I paid for my services, all that I did from morning was turned into a VOLUNTEER SERVICE🤣😅🤣😂...

In conclusion, I remember the look on everyone's face when they found out I was a guest at the party but I ended up as a sever, it wasn't fun but it was crazy, hilarious and funny because I turned into a server instead of enjoying myself inside under good working AC...
