HISTORY REPEATED ITSELF AND OVER TO THE 4TH ROUND…
Livescore really came through for me yesterday big time or else i might have missed not only the live match update but also the fact that Liverpool had a match against West Ham United yesterday, and that was because I had completely forgotten about the round 3 of the carabao cup game, and the fact that my team would be playing against West Ham United yesterday at Anfield completely skipped me…
Although I knew we would be playing a midweek game this week but then this week has been quite a busy one for me so I completely misplaced the date of the game, but thanks to the beautiful reminder from the livescore app on my phone I was reminded 15 minutes before the match kicked off at 8:00 pm yesterday…
I had my internet on and when the reminder notification popped up, i had to check what tournament we were playing since I can’t recall anything from last week, I realized it was the carabao cup tournament after a bit of investigation. I couldn’t stream the match yesterday because i was on the road when the match kicked off, i had to travel out of state yesterday and didn’t come back until late night, which means i had no option than to settle for the game highlights…
HISTORY REPEATED ITSELF…
I think it’s high time we let our junior team players take over the senior players. These young players did beautifully well yesterday and i could tell how much their game play has changed over time, even with the few mistakes that was made yesterday they managed to repeat history…
I was watching the highlight of the game this morning and couldn’t stop laughing at how hilarious the game was yesterday, I would have loved to watch it live yesterday but then i couldn’t, which was why i had to settle for the highlight in the first place…
We had our usual 4-2-3-1 formation but this time the team contained more junior players than the senior players, the only senior players i could pinpoint were Nunez, Jota and a couple of other…
The opening goal was the result of a very hilarious mistake. I didn’t know how it happened at first last night when i got the own goal notification on my phone, but after watching the highlight this morning and seeing how it happened, i was able to see the own goal differently. I believe anyone could have made that same mistake, Quansah mistakenly sent the ball in in an attempt to block a goal…
This mistake put our opponent a goal ahead and just 4 minutes later Diego Jota secured a beautiful equalizer with a wonderful assist from our newest signing Federico Chiesa (14), who in an attempt to score unintentionally made an assist that gave us the 1-1 equalizer in the 25th minute…
I love the fact that Arne Slot started Cody Gakpo, the guy is undoubtedly good, he really dominated the game big time yesterday, his presence in the match made the game better and different, he balled some excellent shots yesterday, if not for our opponents good goal keeper, those shots would have given us more goals…
The first half ended in a 1-1 draw. Liverpool came from behind to secure their second goal of the game in the 49th minute, an excellent assist from Curtis Jones gave another opening to Diego Jota who managed to send the ball in beautifully…
Mohammed Salah and Mac Allister were brought in as a replacement for Chiesa and Jota, they both joined the match in the 59th minute and then Salah managed to secure a goal in the 74th minute, his goal was a rebound from an attempt to score by Mac Allister, this goal brought us 2 goals ahead of West Ham…
I thought that was the end game until Cody Gakpo managed to add 2 more goals to the game in the 90th and 93rd minutes to put us 4 goals ahead, an excellent assist from Nunez made the 4th goal possible…
In summary, history has once again repeated itself, the game ended 5-1 just as it ended 5-1 last year in the carabao cup and also against the same team…
In conclusion, we have successfully qualified for the 4th round of the tournament, our next match is scheduled for September 28th against wolves. I am sure our boys will be bagging another win in no time, stay tune…
