The amateur stage is one of the stages in life every human must pass through before becoming perfect, close to perfect or becoming a professional in it, at one point in time we all have to start from the basic steps before becoming a professional in it, it is not possible for you to be called a professional in something you just started doing days ago, you need to go through the whole amateur process before you can finally claim the professional title...

It is indeed a fact that each an everyone of us were all amateurs in the past, some are still amateur in a particular talent, skills or something else, the point is that the amateur stage is a necessary stage to pass through as a newbie on any thing you plan to do...

There are some people who didn't use weeks before becoming a professional in what they do, the reason is because they are naturally gifted in that aspect and because they were able to focus and utilize every other their opportunity on it, they become pros in just weeks and that is hard work in relationship to natural talent and gifts...

Me telling you or you telling me you were never an amateur at something is total lie and that means in one particular thing or field we all have pass through the amateur stage and after some time we gain the professional title and that is the way it goes...

In summary, being an amateur is not a choice, it is a necessary and compulsory stage we all must pass through to become very good at something we want to do or love doing, becoming very good at something is not achieved in a day, it takes seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or some times years to become very very good at that which we do...

That is to say, the amateur stage is very necessary and important to become a professional and every professional today was once an amateur at that which they are excelling in now and that is the fact...

Without dwelling too much on all the facts about being an amateur, I will like to share my amazing amateur story with you all, this includes all the challenges and hurdles that came with being an amateur but at the end of the day I became very good at what I am doing and now I am no longer an amateur but I am still learning more to improve myself on daily basis...

I WAS ONCE AN AMATEUR WRITER...

Years ago before I found my way to the blockchain thanks to burlarj, I was once a primary school writer, one without a niche skills or a direction and most importantly I was a writer without a meaningful purpose...

All I did back then was to write for fun and amusement, I started my writing career at a very young age and I am sure some people still remember when I started writing and to those who didn't know about it, I will give you all a quick heads up for you to have a better and clearer picture of where I am going to with my points...

I started writing at my junior secondary class and that was around JSS 1/2 after finding joy, happiness and most importantly motivation and inspiration from the stories of other writers like me, at first I wanted to try it out just because I wanted to have an experience with the thought of quitting if it doesn't work out well...

I tried and to my greatest surprise it caught the interest of many and from there I slowly started getting into it and the more I devote my time to it the more I get motivated and inspired to write my best because of my audience interests...

20221024_142949_0000.png

Slowly I started writing pages from just a page and after some days I decided to make it a new talent of mine by dwelling, working and utilizing it to its full potential and that was when I started finding my main purpose of writing...

To improve my knowledge and ideas on what to give to my audience (classmates), I decided to read more novels, story books and most importantly I started watching more of cartoons and as much as I hated to accept the fact lol, there was a time I loved animes lol, I watched animes to get a sense of direction for every of my write up...

At first it was very difficult to give out the best because I wasn't born into a writers family, no one was doing it around me and because of my interests and love for reading I developed an interest in writing and making my own stories and that was how the thirst to become a quality writer started and I decided to hop on it the very first time i got good reviews from my audience...

There was a time I lost some of my audience because I tried to dive into another niche skills without having to master a particular one, I started with fictional stories in my early days as a writer, I mostly write on my imaginations and I realized doing that brought me good audience and because of all the suspense in my stories, there is this attraction they all developed to hear the end of the story and with that I was able to gain their attention to newly developed skills...

I would always write my stories down before making photocopies of it to give to my audience in the past and on several occasions I have been helped in terms of spelling corrections, paragraphs and more things regarding my stories by a guy I met in the Cafe where I make copies of it, from there he started explaining some of the basics of fictional writing to me and I started getting it bit by bit...

Everytime I write a new story, I go to him to proofread before sharing with the class during breaks but I do give spoiler alerts to them to increasing their thirst to have a more thorough reading when it is finally done and that worked like magic and from there I started gaining more ideas on what to write and how to go about it, I started reading more books and paying more attention to irrelevant cartoons to drive out my own fictional story and it worked like magic...

20221024_142949_0000.png

The more time I spent on it was the more I discover new things and slowly I came to understand that fictional stories was my niche skills and from there I started working on it to make it my strength and from there I decided to trend on the alpha journey by becoming A TRUE ALPHA...

To test my improvement on fictional stories, I decided to go into ORAL FICTIONAL STORIES, I decided to go into this to test all that I have been doing for months and my first oral fictional story was a success because my audience were amazed thanks to content of my stories, it was about something intriguing yet scary but with a happy ending of cause lol...

Gradually I started making progress as an amateur writer and from there it just kept on flowing and flowing and because of my tight and busy schedule, I decided to put everything on break for the appropriate time if I find one, I wasn't planning on surviving through writing and that was why I decided to give it a pause before it got a huge grip on me...

A year after high school graduation, I found burlarj and he told me about the platform and he told to me to make an introduction post on my own and it was very very hard at first because I had stopped writing for many years and I couldn't find the wright words to start with but after I sat down and remembered my glory days in high school as a writer, the inspiration and motivation I needed to write my introduction post came and it was just flowing like a river that never dries up...

I wrote my introduction post at a go and after his assessment I was passed to publish and from that day onward, I decided to become a skillful and quality content writer...

It was different writing on hive blockchain but thanks to my past experiences and lessons I was able to grasp fast on how the blockchain works and I was able to give out my best at all times...

20221024_142949_0000.png

I will be very honest with you all at this point, thanks to my previous experiences, I meant my time as an amateur writer, I have made researches on how to give out quality contents and I already had all the knowledge and ideas on how to survive as an offline writer but being a full online writer is another part and it requires a new dimension but thanks to my previous experience I was able to adapt quickly to the hive blockchain and that was when I earned the newbie title on hive...

In summary, I was no an longer amateur when it comes to writing offline but on the hive blockchain I was back to being an amateur and that means I was a professional in an amateurs body and within weeks I got a hang of how hive works and since then, I have been able to improve constantly on it thanks to my previous experience as an offline writer...

In conclusion, there were times where I battle with what to write and how to approach it but all this was to make me a better version of myself and because the hive blockchain is vast in terms of knowledge I couldn't get to teach the apex point of it and I am sure it is same for you all, hive keeps on improving on daily basis and that is why it is quite hard to catch up lol but we all have the basic knowledge and understanding of how the blockchain works and what to do to survive here...

20221024_142949_0000.png

This is all because we all went through the amateur stages of writing and thanks to that we all now know how it all works even if it's not a hundred percent guaranty, I am sure I have over 60 percent knowledge of how to survive on the hive blockchain and having 60 percentage knowledge of the blockchain means I AM NO LONGER AN AMATEUR WRITER...

NB: you need to learn how to crawl and walk before planning how to fly and this same principle is a necessary step for each and everyone of us before we can be good at that which we all do...

 THANKS FOR READING πŸ’šβ€οΈπŸ’š

Who believe that you would 1000+ words and will never be tired πŸ˜‚. The good thing about being an amateur is that when you work on that skill, you becomes better even not the best in that niche

Nice one friend ❀️

You have come along with writing and you remind me of my brother when he was he primary school.

He has a friend called Emmanuel, they do write stories and even draw images. I can tell you have the talent even as a kid but still needed to learn so that you can improve a lot.

You didn't hesitate to learn and here you are enjoying the benefits of learning today. There is more to learn and there is always room for growth no matter how small it may be.

The sky is your starting point bro, not your limit. I am impressed by your writing journey.

One has to pass through a stage before moving on to the next stage of life. Though there will be challenges during that moment, when we do not give up, we will come to realize how easy it is and this is because we worked our way through it. Today, no one can call you an amateur on Hive because you now know your way here.
