I had one talent back in school which made me kind of popular then and that was prediction, i predicted other people's affair and at the end of the day it was accurate and then i tried to predict my first job in years and guess what???

I was very wrong lolz, my prediction were far from accurate and it was then i realized all i did back then were all based on coincidences and nothing more..

One thing i have always known while growing was that i was going to work under someone but i never imagined what my first job would be, if you all notice there is joy in anything that we consider FIRST in our life, it can either be a tragic or beautiful experience but it will always be a memorable one...

When i say the joy of firsts, i meant something like first earning, first job, first love, first kiss, first dinner date, first car, first house and so on, every first in our life are just so special...

Back then i predicted my first job to be a RECEPTIONIST in an organization but when it was time, my prediction went south and i ended up as a teacher, at first i hated it with passion and back then i had no choice than to take the offer if i want to survive...

At first i started teaching for the sake of teaching and then as time goes on, i loved what i was doing and that was how i started taking the job seriously, i gave it all my best even when the payment wasn't encouraging..

My first month of teaching was hectic and hellish because i didn't want to do it but when i bonded with my student, i loved the job and i worked magic...

As a teacher, you will be faced with many challenges all of which include continuous explanation, parent complaint, principal's complaint and student tantrums, fights, countless sickness but they yielded good result..

My first three weeks, i tried to set many rules and regulations and while going i paired my student with the less brilliant student to make them catch up and also to be the best too, my plans worked magic....

In the first two weeks after pairing, they acted poorly and the other in the pair were outstanding, i punished the ones that scored the highest in each pair because i felt like they didn't carry them along well and that is why they flopped...

Doing that made them more serious and then it all started changing, the score difference started to change and some were now confident and smiling in class...

A good teacher will turn the world upside down for his/her student, after i bonded with them, i became close to their families that there was a time i stood for a student with my salary because i didn't want her to miss her exams because they all studied hard...

Fortunately, she did her exams and she passed and then her parents settled the school debt and thanked me, my happiness was that i made my student smile by sacrificing my pay to get her to write the exams.....

Imagine the job i never liked was something i didn't want to stop doing, truth be told it was hectic but i had fun and also angry moments were i punished students for next time...

Before i knew it, weeks became months and months became a term and i got a better offer, a loan collector in a micro finance company, it was a better offer because the pay was good and encouraging and i had to bade my students farewell..

Before i went, i created history by preparing them for the COMMON ENTRANCE EXAMINATION, i had sleepless nights to teach and carry them all along, did morning lessons, demonstration and encouragement and it all worked out perfectly..

On the day of their common entrance examination into JSS1, i had left the school then but i heard the story and testimony of how they defeated the exam questions, about 45 percent of my student had scholarship for a term and the others did well..

In summary, i became a proud teacher and that was how i got famous in the midst of parents and other teachers, i helped my children succeed and now they are rocking their new class..

All i did was sacrifice, love, contribute and spend time with them and then my fingers worked magic and i am happy to see them in the next level...

In conclusion, i realized what is worth doing deserves been done well, i tried my best and best was encouraging and now that i am no longer a teacher, my legacy and title as a once upon a time teacher LIVES ON
