If there is one thing I marked out with red pen on my never to-do list, it is anything that has to do with the teaching field and that means teaching as profession...

I never once loved teaching as a child due to the way i see several teachers treat their students and back then all I could think of was that; these people are so cruel and wicked and I am sure they wouldn't be as stern and strict as this if we were their biological children, i thought about this several times during my childhood and that made me hate teaching profession the more because it involves the use of canes most times and I hate it...

Little did I know back then that the canning and punishments was used to set us on the wright path and to also prepare us for what lies ahead which is the future and that is what matters most to them...

Our future was their responsibility and they have to use all means necessary to keep us in check, it is what our parents wanted them to do and that is what they are being paid to do as a teacher...

I started understanding this gradually as I grew much older but I still hated the profession because of the pay grade and how hectic it is and most importantly because of the difficult teachers we had back then, it was just so hard to deal with them...

I grew up much better and started understanding the reason why they had to act that way and from what I understood back then, all they were doing was for our own benefit and slowly I started having a second thought regarding my teachers and I started loving some of them for who they are and that was the beginning of a new era...

Now I am someone who would never stop at a point when it comes to teaching because now I am in love with teaching and that is because I had lots of good and talented teachers who thought me through school...

In as much as we had the best teachers back then, we also had the worst teacher and if I am to grade or analyze such teacher, I will be failing him woefully for many reasons best known to myself and also my fellow classmates...

Join me as I take you on a journey of how I am going to grade all the teachers that thought me through school and that includes who will the best and the worst...

GRADING ALL MY TEACHERS (PAYBACK
           TIME)...

The more I imagine this is the more I find it very interesting to do lol, well I remember back then in school, there were times where the school propietor/propietress would call us one by one to tell them how our teachers were doing individually and anyone who is found slacking will either be replaced or corrected...

I enjoyed doing this back then but I was honest and just when it comes to grading them, I left out all the bad blood we had at the door step since it was a decision about their livelihood and my opinion really saved lots some teachers, mehn it was interesting...

Now let's head back into the main topic, if I am to grade all the teachers that taught me in school, MR A and MR ABIOLA will be the best...

20221024_142949_0000.png

        THE BEST...

I know it is impossible to pick two bests but if I am going to be honest with each and every one of you, in this case I will be going with these two teachers as the best because I will be grading them a 10/10...

          WHY

The best definition of parent-like teacher is Mr A and Mr Abiola, these two teachers are jovial, kind, nice, learned, brilliant, sound and motivating when it comes to teaching...

They posses all these qualities yet they can be your worst nightmare depending on your attitude towards your academic goals, they don't joke with class neither do they take assignments, test or examinations for granted...

They can be sweet as honey and they can be bitter as bitter gourd juice, when it comes to explanation, they explain with everything that will make it easier for us to understand and because of that we love them so much...

Mr abiola was my mathematics teacher throughout primary and junior secondary school, he was more like father to me than a teacher, he does whatever he takes in his power to make learning easier and understandable for us and thanks to him most of us loved mathematics and knew it like the back of our hand...

He taught us different methods on how to simplify mathematics and that too both locally and also in a modern way, mathematics was just so fun with him as our teacher...

Mr A was my English teacher in senior secondary school, he taught me for good 4 years and I will boldly hit my chest anywhere and anytime in the world that he is still the best english teacher I have had in my entire life...

He is very sound in English language, he has a very good accent and intonations, he is a brilliant teacher and thanks to him I was able to learn and understand the principles of English language the more and I got to know how to use the basics in all topics relating to writings and text...

These two teachers doesn't joke when it comes to teaching us, they are always on time when it's their period and they take care of us both as teacher and as a family, our health was their first priority and that is the definition of a good and responsible teacher...

Its a 10 OUT OF 10 for both Mr Abiola and Mr A, shout out to them wherever they are...

       THE WORST...

Well well well when it comes to grading this particular teacher, I will give the person 2/10 for thousands of reasons, she was a corper back then and she was brought in to teach us whenever Mr A is not around and with the few months we spent with her, it was hellish and disastrous...

Her name was Miss amaka, she was a corper assigned to teach us English in the absence of Mr A...

         WHY

I am sorry to say this but she is the best definition for lackadaisical. I meant she was just not a teaching material because if she was to be judged on what she taught us, it would be a fail from everyone..

She lacks a lot of things a teacher should possess and that includes her manner of approach and speech...

She was a bully, a violent person, an insulting type and most importantly she lacks the skills of helping us understand whatever she teaches better...

Imagine a teacher using curse word constantly on her students, imagine a teacher bullying her student when he or she asks her a question, I was the closest to her yet I was also a victim of all these negative behaviors, she never misses the opportunity to bully us when we do wrong and most importantly she is poor in teaching and explanation...

It was just so hard to learn with her around us and whenever she asks us if we understand any topic, we all echo yes because we all want her far away from the class as fast as possible, you need to see how Mr A teaches us PHONETICS...

English was just so twisted and complicated because of her and thanks to Mr A's teaching, we became outstanding in learning how to speak correct English and also on how to make good use of it but I never got to understand punctuations because he left before we could know it...

For Miss Amaka it's a 2/ 10 for me, I am sorry about all what I said above but that's the truth and if I want to be cruel with my grade, I would give her 0/10 because that is what she deserves...

In conclusion, teachers are like god to their students because we look up to them in diverse ways and we could turn out poor if they dont put us on the wright path and that means our future is in their hands and they need to make sure it's is safe and secure at all times by making us a GEM out of a raw material...

I can imagine a corner as a teacher, most of them are not really teachers to say, they are just put there to pass time.

When I saw payback time on the title I thought what is he paying back 😁
Nicely written foxy.👍

It seems a lot of us had bad experiences with corpers as teachers. We also had one corper back then as one of our teachers for a term and she taught my favorite subject; biology. Lets just say she almost made me hate that subject, so I can relate quite well to having a corper as a teacher

Hmmm I can understand your plight on why you dislike teaching as a profession, but then it's great to know there are some you like like Mr A.

Miss Amaka must be really terrible for you to see her that way.
