Always be careful of the kind of friends you walk and roll with because not everyone who smiles or laughs at you is your friend neither do they want what's best for you, I learned my lesson the hard way in my own case...

Thinking about this edition three's topic just gave me a quick reminder of what high school life was for me thanks to false accusation of different sought, several times I have been accused falsely of some things I didn't do but also at the same time I have also falsely accused some friends of mine along the journey even when I know they didn't do it, sometimes it might be jokingly while some other days it would be intentional just because i don't want to get punished...

I have been a victim of false accusation several times and it came to a point where i just finally understood and accepted the fact being falsely accused of some things is part of life, all i just need to do is to either have an alibi or a witness to verify my claim when such case arises...

The bitter truth is that there is no perfection within us humans which means no matter how calm or silent you are in a particular place, there will surely be a case of false accusation, it can either be in one's family, school, or one's environment, in this case, the best thing to do is to make sure you have an alibi that is going to justify your claim...

One thing i realized in high school in relation to false accusation is the fact that; some people tend to accuse other people falsely probably because they don't want to get punished alone or maybe they are too scared of being exposed to the class of some ugly truths about them, for me it is primarily either for cruise or out of fright of being punished alone and at the end of the day i end up apologizing to the innocent victim whom i falsely accused, this doesn't change the fact that it is very very wrong of me to falsely accuse someone innocent...

There is always the law of karma in this case, what goes around will surely come around be it good or bad, you will surely reap what you sow, I guess since I have also accused some people falsely in the past, it is natural for me also be a victim of false accusation but guess what??, it doesn't change the fact that; BEING FALSELY ACCUSED IN SOMETHING YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT IS VERY HURTFUL AND PAINFUL...

Well well well, that is just a little intro to my topic of the day, and without further delay, I will be sharing with you all my audience about a case where I was accused of something I didn't do, what happened in that case and what the end result of this false accusation was...

Traveling way back to when I was a high schooler, I had lots of friends who gets big amounts of money for feeding allowance on a daily basis and also come to school with lunch boxes, I was from an average family, we were not poor neither were we rich but we were living fine and okay...

Out of our 4 friends, two amongst our group of friends came from wealthy families while the rest of us came from average families, most of the time Bayo and Jide who had wealthy parents were always spoiling their kids with big amounts of money while my other friend and I were spending moderately...

On norms as friends, Jide and Bayo share their feeding allowance with us but not every time since we are friends, at first each of them came to school with #500 each every day and still lavish it, what can I say or do, it's not really my business, I am contented with the little I have...

After some time I realized they have been spending more than the usual amount they spend in school and that was when I started getting suspicious that they both are stealing from their parents, I started drawing back from that group of friends, and at the end of the day, ola and I left them alone since we both now know they steal from their parents...

Ola and I share almost everything with each other including some secrets and one day an issue happened in class that day that lead to an emergency assembly, I and ola went out for a break only for us to come back and I was asked to report to the principal office...

I went there and saw Bayo in the principal's office, the principal asked me; where is the money you took from Bayo's bag???, i was like sir i don't understand what you are saying, it was at this moment Bayo stepped in and said where is the money you took from my bag when you went to take your notebook...

In my defense, i answered him back telling him i didn't see his money nor did i steal anything from his bag, the principal asked someone to fetch my bag for it to be searched, and unfortunately for me, the money was indeed found in my bag, everyone thought it was Bayo's money not knowing it was truly mine ...

Without further questions it was proven to the principal that I was the culprit, the next thing i got on my buttock was a heavy stroke of the cane, tears rolled down from my eyes immediately and i was asked to confess, with tears in my eyes i started explaining how I came to own my money, I told the principal that the money found in my bag was indeed mine, it was the money my mother gave to me pay for my weekly assessment and that I kept in my textbook to prevent it from getting lost...

He said it is a lie and that I should tell him who else knows about the money, that was when Ola was brought in, he narrated everything from the beginning to the end and now the principal was calm...

Fortunately for me I told Ola on our way to school early that morning that my mum has given me my weekly assessment balance and I will be paying up at the of school that day, he was even the one that advised me to keep it in the middle of my textbook so that it won't get stolen...

To cut a long story short, my mum was called to confirm my statement and that of Ola, truthfully my mum came and confirmed that it is indeed true that she actually gave me that same amount to pay up for my weekly assessment, that was how I was saved that day but guess what???, I never forgot the cane and the humiliation I got from my principal, he apologized to me but to be honest I didn't forgive him then...

In summary, an emergency assembly was called out to find the money, after several investigations, it was proven that Bayo never actually brought that amount of money to school in the first place and his mum came to school to testify that she has never given him more than #200 as feeding allowance but on a normal day, he spends #500 every day...

This means he was a thief and liar both at home and in school, he was exposed in front of the whole school and I was apologized to publicly at the assembly ground, he got punished severely by both the school management and his parents for stealing, lying and also accusing someone else of stealing something he had in the first place...

In conclusion, I was punished unjustly but at the end of the day, the truth prevailed and I was liberated of all the charges laid against me, I learned a lot from that situation but most importantly I learned that it is indeed necessary to always have at least one trustworthy friend in one's life, one that knows almost everything about one's life, if not for ola that day, I might have never been liberated and the truth might not be revealed but because my alibi checked out, I was liberated and everything was back to how it was...
