The kind of live our forefathers lived is not something most people in this our present generation can do, i imagine the kind of hard and natural labor they must have had to do to provide for themselves and their families....

The bitter truth is that no matter how advanced and forward we are now, our forefathers never had their lives easy at all, imagine the work the farmers had to do back then to make sure there is constant provision for his/her families needs...

The fact is that the life of our forefathers were filled with ORIGINALITY AND NATURAL, their source of income were not based on appliances and modern gadgets, their work tools were SELF MADE and that is what is unique about them...

Well it's quite obvious that most of our forefathers were farmers, the yoruba's will call them AGBE, I don't pray for some things in the lives of my forefathers because their lives were filled with difficulties and hardship but i wish for some things from their lifestyle and that is originality and natural....

I wish i had the power to wake my own forefathers up for an interview about this topic, i want everyone to know about how things were done in the ancient times, i am sure if i ask my forefathers the kind lifestyle they will enjoy, 99 percent of them will tell you to your face that they enjoy their ancient times than this civilized world...

One of the reason is that they have not had a taste of the civilized world which is why they think the ancient lifestyle is the best, it is true that food wasn't a problem in the time of our forefathers and that is one of the advantage they have over us...

Ask any child in this modern age now, what do you want to become in the near future, he or she will never tell you i want to become a farmer lolz, it is because we see farming as nothing but back then farming was the backbone of our forefathers..

So the question asked in this edition about who has it better, the answer is quite very obvious because it is surely US, we are now in a world where we can control massive wealth with just a phone call and an online trading which is something absent in the time of our forefathers....

       WHO HAS IT BETTER, US OR OUR FOREFATHERS???

It is indeed a known fact that the kind of live we are living now is all thanks to the all round advancement in technology, we have come to improve greatly compared to thousands years ago where there was nothing like touch light, rechargeable lamp, kettles, aluminium pots and many other things we haven't even talked about mobile phones and internet lolz, if its a question of who is having a better life, it is US 100 PERCENT..

Thanks to the advancement in communication and technology we all have come to enjoy being part of this modern age and time, back then there is nothing like job opportunities and then the main occupation back then was farming all of which include livestock farming but in this our modern age we have different job opportunities and we don't even need to stress ourselves for employment, advancement in communication and technology has broaden towards different areas and i can indeed say we children of this generation are blessed...

Imagine making money without having to go the market or opening up a store all because of the web and its advancement, we are now enjoying unlimited access to the web to share every of our product and in no time it gets delivered to the consumer all in just one click...

Thanks to modernity, we enjoy maximum customer satisfaction, we make different business transaction online without having a one on one talk...

We children of this age and time are really living a desired and beautiful life even if its not fulfilling yet but in this age, we have televison, mobile phones, electrical appliances and electronics, internet, wi-fi, car, motor cycle, plane, jet and helicopter with many more things, all this things has made life easier and comfortable for us and our forefathers were not privileged to enjoy this advancement and modernity with us...

All the points listed in the above paragraph are the evidences pointing to the fact that we are enjoying and having a better life than our forefathers in this age and time...

        ARE WE IN HAPPIER TIMES THAN OUR FOREFATHER'S???

When it comes to happiness, i will give 45 percent to our forefathers and we 55 percent for million and one reasons...
There are thousands of reasons why we are happier than our forefathers and all this is thanks to advancement in communication and technology, there has been an all round growth since the time of our forefathers...

A lot of things our forefathers did with their hands that is to say manual labor has been made easy for us by technology, now we have different machineries carrying out the work of man effectively and perfectly, it has helped us in time maximization and utilization, it has helped to reduce the level of illness accumulated in the body all because of hard labor, it has increase the speed of finishing our work...

All this things are what we need to be happy and thanks to this great advancement we have always been happy while doing our daily tasks because we have something that keeps us refreshed and energetic...

We all know thanks to this advancement, about 50 percent of our daily activities is done by machine and the remaining 50 percent is done manually and with the existence of this gadgets and appliances we have been able to attend to tasks and duties happily and also having extra power to do other things...

Our forefathers are happy too because food wasn't their problem, the least problem a farmer can have is not like not having food to eat and this has been their strength from the time past...

A farmer will have problem with many things but food provision is never part of their problem and i think when ones stomach is filled there is no greater happiness than that unlike in this our modern time where the cost of this foods are increasing drastically every day, going to the market with #50, 000 and coming back home with just two small sacks but back then #50, 000 will buy 5 months foodstuffs and there will still be change...

This is the reason why i didn't give the whole happiness percentage to our generation but i rather divided it and gave reasons why it should be so...

In summary, when it comes to the time we are going to the market, we are always going to that place where someone calls you my customer all because of one or two discounts lolz and in the time of our forefathers food was never a problem lol...

You can see the difference and why we equally have our source of happiness both now and then...

In conclusion, we are indeed blessed to be born in this modern age and time, there is access to a lot of things all which brings us joy and happiness especially mobile phones, laptops and internet usage...

The feeling is just so different and it is divine but our forefathers too were happy with whatever they had, they utilized it completely and that is what makes them unique and spectacular...

Their creativity and talents were exceptional and out of this world...
