Caminata a las Tres Cascadas – Sabaneta ( Esp/Engl)

La aventura comenzó muy temprano. A las 7:00 a. m. ya estábamos esperando el bus rumbo a nuestro destino. Esta vez el grupo era de tres personas y nuestra guía fue, nada más y nada menos, que un video de TikTok.

El bus nos dejó en la tienda Las Brisas. Desde allí empezamos a caminar por un largo tramo de un caserío hasta llegar a una carretera destapada. Según el video, unos metros más adelante debíamos cruzar hacia la derecha y descender un poco por la montaña. A partir de ese punto comenzaron a aparecer las señalizaciones, lo que hizo que encontráramos el camino sin ningún problema.

El lugar se conoce como Tres Cascadas, aunque en esta ocasión solo alcanzamos a visitar dos. Durante el recorrido seguimos unas cuerdas rojas que marcaban el sendero y nos guiaron por caminos rodeados de naturaleza. Lo mejor fue que el sitio estaba muy tranquilo; al parecer, no muchas personas madrugan para hacer esta caminata, así que pudimos disfrutar del paisaje con mucha calma.

Eso sí, cuando se visitan lugares como este es importante ir con precaución, preferiblemente acompañado, informar a alguien sobre la ruta y tener mucho cuidado durante todo el recorrido.

La primera cascada nos dejó sin palabras, pero la segunda fue aún más impresionante. Cada una tenía una belleza única; parecían sacadas de un sueño. Aproveché para tomar muchas fotografías y guardar recuerdos de un lugar realmente mágico.

Cada vez confirmo más que Colombia, y especialmente Antioquia, está llena de rincones maravillosos por descubrir, muchos de ellos muy cerca y perfectos para una escapada de un día.

La caminata tuvo una duración aproximada de tres horas entre la ida y el regreso. Mi recomendación es llevar ropa cómoda, tenis con buen agarre, suficiente agua y algo de comida para recargar energías durante el recorrido.

Sin duda, fue una experiencia inolvidable y una página más que se suma a este hermoso libro de viajes que sigo escribiendo con cada aventura.

The adventure began very early. By 7:00 a.m., we were already waiting for the bus to our destination. This time, our group consisted of three people, and our guide was none other than a TikTok video.

The bus dropped us off at the Las Brisas store. From there, we started walking along a long stretch through a hamlet until we reached a dirt road. According to the video, a few meters further on, we were supposed to turn right and head down the mountain a bit. From that point on, signs began to appear, which helped us find the path without any trouble.

The place is known as Tres Cascadas, though on this occasion we only managed to visit two of them. During the hike, we followed red ropes that marked the trail and guided us along paths surrounded by nature. The best part was that the place was very quiet; apparently, not many people get up early to take this hike, so we were able to enjoy the scenery in complete peace.

Of course, when visiting places like this, it’s important to proceed with caution, preferably with a companion, let someone know your route, and be very careful throughout the entire hike.

The first waterfall left us speechless, but the second was even more impressive. Each one had its own unique beauty; they looked like something out of a dream. I took the opportunity to take lots of photos and capture memories of a truly magical place.

I’m becoming more and more convinced that Colombia—and especially Antioquia—is full of wonderful spots waiting to be discovered, many of them very close by and perfect for a day trip.

The hike took about three hours round trip. My recommendation is to wear comfortable clothes, sneakers with good traction, bring enough water, and pack some food to recharge your energy along the way.

Without a doubt, it was an unforgettable experience and yet another page added to this beautiful travel book that I continue to write with every adventure.
