Epifanía y río ( Esp/Engl)

El otro día leí que hay que agradecer también por los días malos, por lo difícil, por ese corazón roto, por ese camino que al final no funcionó. No sé, pienso que a veces queremos que todo sea bueno siempre, que las cosas salgan a la primera, que todo sea cómodo, que todo parezca como un jodido cuento de hadas y se nos olvida, que lo que hace que el río suene bonito, son las piedras que hay en el camino. Por eso, agradece también todo eso que no pasa como quieres, pero que te está llevando al lugar donde perteneces.

The other day I read that we should also be grateful for the bad days, for the hard times, for that broken heart, for that path that didn’t work out in the end. I don’t know, I think that sometimes we want everything to be good all the time, for things to work out on the first try, for everything to be comfortable, for everything to seem like a damn fairy tale—and we forget that what makes the river sound beautiful are the stones along the way. So be grateful for all those things that don’t go the way you want, but that are leading you to where you belong.
